Description
Financial consulting firm seeks a service oriented individual to join its Information Technology staff. The Enterprise Support Solution Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining system hardware and software within our IT Infrastructure. The individual is responsible for supporting our Windows and Citrix systems.
Primary Duties
Work across multi-tiered support environment to resolve highly technical problems and issues.
Windows system administration (2012/2106/2019) including Active Directory and Group Policy Objects within a VMware environment.
Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems in a Win10 environment
Perform account creation, setup, and management activities.
Monitor systems and respond immediately to security or usability concerns.
Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution.
Create and maintain system restore procedures and perform periodic system backups and off-site tape rotations.
Mobile device management and application deployment.
Respond to and resolve change, incident, and request tasks submitted via ticketing system
Qualifications
Knowledge of, and experience with, virtual server methodologies, including thin client and shared desktop implementation.
Familiarity with SAN storage, Dell Equallogic, and DataDomain.
Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration, Intune, & Operations Managers.
Knowledge of, and experience with, Citrix Provisioning Server, Citrix Machine Creation, monitoring services such as Citrix Director.
Solid working knowledge of enabling printing and printing issues within Citrix, ICA Client management.
Experience with databases, networks and associated protocols (UDP, TCP, FTP, HTTP, POP, IMAP, SMTP), and patch management
Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
Willing to carry cell phone and participate as a member of a 24/7 on-call rotation for server systems. Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
BA/BS or equivalent experience required and/or Certifications.
3 – 5 years of system administration experience.
Systems Administration/Systems Engineering certification in Microsoft and Citrix.
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMWARE/Hyper-V).
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Ability to work independently and within teams.
Internal candidates must have at least 15 months experience with the firm.
