Role Summary/Purpose:
The SAP IT Finance Technologist will provide technology expertise, project technical execution and SAP expertise supporting the global finance department for the SUEZ Water Technologies & Solutions organization. In this role, you will be responsible for technology part of global IT and business projects to drive continuous process improvement, standardization, and simplification across the finance organization. A critical aspect of this role is relationship management between IT finance and business finance to ensure IT is delivering support for all finance related processes. The majority of projects and supported technologies are related to SAP Finance and Controlling modules along with any shared service related systems that integrate with the FI and CO modules.
Essential Responsibilities:
Expert in SAP Finance and Controlling modules and their integration with other SAP modules
SAP subject matter expert supporting the finance organization
Responsible for design solutions that conform with FI/CO blueprint, global processes and act as a contributor to the overall technology roadmap and life cycle through technology assessments and recommendations.
Oversight and leadership of requirements gathering, analysis and determining alternatives for Finance organization processes
Accountable for operational excellence of assigned projects including project reviews, feasibility, prioritization, execution and closure
Work closely with business analyst and business partners to understand complex business requirements and propose the least complex design solutions that use current technologies and align to the technology roadmap.
Manage activities of project team resources to support and manage technical consulting partners to deliver solutions
Own and maintain documentation for design standards and ensure conformance to system architecture, standards, general IT controls, and best practices
Accountable for Finance related interfaces with external systems & cross module integration with other SAP modules
Drive SAP best practices standards and implement industry best practices as deemed applicable to enhance capabilities and effectiveness
Stay current with enabling technologies and work as a partner and change agent to gather support and promote their implementation and use. Contribute to the SAP FI/CO technology roadmap and continuously evaluate “in use” technologies and managing the product life cycle.
Maintain working relationships with peers and vendors to seamlessly integrate the program area into the overall strategic objectives and activities of the organization.
Support, advise, assist, guide and resolve problems related to Finance for business users when needed.
Determine the root cause of issues & implement efficient solutions.
Work as a business partner with client leaders and users to evaluate and improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent discipline from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP ERP with strong focus on FI/CO
Experience with implementation of large IT systems
Strong communications skills with proven ability to serve as a change agent and thought leader in business process development
Experience in SAP integration with multiple legacy system landscapes and third party systems
Full system development life cycle hands-on experience: Analysis, designing, coding, testing, performance tuning and documentation
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong prioritization skills and the ability to multi-task efficiently on parallel efforts
Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong relationship management ability
Strong Foundation of Standard SAP processes and modules

Familiar with the following IT processes: Agile / Scrum, Continuous delivery, Testing Automation, Application Monitoring, Configuration management, Security Principles
