Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, O365 systems, Servers and Storage, Virtualization and cloud infrastructure.
Implementation, troubleshoot and maintenance of business systems, including servers, operating systems, Servers and Storage, Virtualization and hosted environments.
Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
Proactively monitor system performance to provide capacity planning and optimization recommendations.
Coordinates the periodic maintenance of System updates.
Next level support for Helpdesk team to support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
Deploy and design cloud computing services such as IaaS, SaaS and PaaS.
Perform patching for Windows, Linux and other operating systems and third party components.
Skills needed to be successful.
Good troubleshooting workflow and knowledge of troubleshooting tools. Ability to solve problems with a consistent, measured approach.
Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS administration and configuration.
Managing server virtualization technologies like VMWare Server/ESX or Microsoft Hyper-V/Virtua server.
Some knowledge of Linux / Unix Operating Systems
Proficient with PowerShell.
Good working knowledge of Azure IaaS, vNet, Subnets, Firewalls and NSG. (VMs, VNET, NSG Rules, VPN Gateways and Express Route)
Sound understanding of networking knowledge on and Firewall security. Understanding of IP address classes and managing the routes.
Experience on AWS, Azure or any private cloud exposure
Hands on Experience in O365 administration
Good knowledge on backup and restoration.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Required Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information systems or related field.
Total 5+ years of IT experience out of which 3+ years should be in System administration.
Min 1 year working experience in Azure.
Experience in infrastructure architecture, data centers, servers.
Strong understanding of multiple technologies including but not limited to Server hardware & Server OS,Virtualization, VMWare, Hyper-Converged Infrastructure, Office365.
Microsoft or VMWare Certification.
