We are looking for an exceptional resource to join our Network and Infrastructure Engineering team as Senior IT Domain Specialist for Storage Automation.
Focus of the Role:
The Senior IT Domain Specialist – Storage Automation is responsible for understanding operational issues and automating the repeated tasks by use of automation tools such as Python, PowerShell, Ansible and ensure platforms are stable 24×7. You will be also responsible for day to day storage operations work such as Incident and problem management. The focus of this role is to improve service reliability and reduce customer incidents by automation.
Job Description Summary:
The Senior IT Domain Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the cloud platforms, systems and solutions deliver a superior connected experience for our consumer and business customers. You do this by drawing on your deep expertise in multiple public cloud offerings and technologies combined with your broad experience in designing, implementing, managing and improving complex technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for continuously improving service reliability and reducing customer incidents by automation.
Maintain Storage Platforms Stability.
Develop Automation framework.
Assist technical support to resolve incidents via first call resolution.
Analyse incident volumes to determine problem management opportunities that translate to volume reductions.
Detect and prevent incidents before they occur.
Implementation of new technologies to ensure Telstra leads the ICT industry. (e.g. Azure, AWS, Hybrid Cloud, Automation)
Identify and implement opportunities to improve process, efficiencies and customer experience.
24×7 Shift Environment/Recall
Working in an Agile at Scale DevOps environment.
