• Working knowledge of collaboration tools such as email, WebEx and video technologies.
• Hands-on experience and good understanding of networking concepts: MPLS , OSPF, EIGRP, BGP,MPLS ,DS3, T1, Frame Relay, ATM, and DSL Fibre/Copper
• Working knowledge of MPLS, Converged Edged, SD Wan solutions, programing using Python and other bandwidth link specifications.
• Alcatel 5620 SAM environment experience.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP enhancements such as multi-cast, QOS techniques, bandwidth and path reservation techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of the configuration and maintenance of routers and switches. (Alcatel, Cisco, Juniper)

Additional Job Description
Position Title: – Network Operations Engineer (Layer 3) Job Description: Provide Layer 3 operations engineering expertise to large, complex service provider client in predominantly Cisco/Alcatel/Juniper networking environment. (EDAT) Prime the function of ordering facilities from 3rd party carriers on behalf of Telus (TNAC) Ability to collaborate with a variety of diverse groups and teams (internal and/or external) to effectively introduce and Implement change in the work place (SME/TL) Delivery of complex solution design on time, cost and quality. (EDAT SME) Low level Network design for the global enterprise customers. Develop detailed technical design that will deliver optimum solutions for complex customer requirement. Need to work on MPLS VPN , Internet and Metro Ethernet architecture . Need to work on the rotational shifts to cover the US/Canadian time zones. Education 4-year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Electronics and Telecommunications. Experience / Background 2+ years data networking experience (LAN, WAN) in large, complex enterprise installations or Service Providers. Accreditation / Certification / Licenses Required Certifications or equivalent experience: CCNA/ CCNP + nice to have Alcatel, Juniper
