Description and Requirements

Training Schedule: 12-14 weeks. On Job Training

Education :4-year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Electronics and Telecommunications.
Experience: 0- 1 Years
Job Responsibilities:
Create engineering designs, Access Fiber Networks who can carry out all engineering Design requirements of the project with the Customer’s engineering requirements, Engineering guidelines and standard practices and create/modify GIS Inventories
. Verify and ensure that design standards and records are maintained on new/existing services.
. Communicate with external / internal customers to clarify customer needs.
. Collaborate and facilitate on reaching specific goals even when faced with ambiguous situations
. Deliver on the mandate of deploying transport technologies for the TELUS transport and fibre network Essential Skills . Basic understanding of Knowledge of transport network technology, architecture and elements.
. Knowledge of transmission links design and testing.
. Understanding on CARRIER ETHERNET OPTICAL SERVICES, SONET fiber optic networks, CWDM
. Comfortable in working on logical design using software and processes, no access of network elements
. Self-motivated, works well with minimal or no direct supervision. . Ability to effectively handle both favorable and unfavorable customer interactions.
. Must be comfortable in working late evening/night shift permanently.
