Job purpose
The Application Services Core Department is responsible for the maintenance, support, and release management of key business systems in use across TMF Group, such as Dynamics, CRM, and ViewPoint. Given the nature of TMF-Group’s business, a high availability rate as well as timely and adequate reactions to incidents, problems and change requests is required.
The Global IT Application Engineer – provides efficient consultancy and support services for business applications (with a focus on ViewPoint) within agreed response times and service levels. Global IT Application Engineer will work closely with the support teams, business users of various offices, the internal development team and software vendors to ensure the successful resolution of issues and requests. Change related tasks will form a major part of this role.
Key responsibilities
Deliver a consistent, high performing, reliable application consultancy and support to staff in all locations on the core business applications (mainly ViewPoint)
Thorough understanding and support of the TMF-Group business processes and procedures
Maintain regular contact with key local business users and assist with analysis, specification and prioritization of requirements for additional functionality, configuration and new releases
Support business users with the creation of new ViewPoint automated forms and templates according to specifications, procedures and group standards
Work with both external and internal stakeholders and solving technical and functional issues.
Enhance and maintain the high-quality handling of incidents, changes and problems reported in Service Desk
Evaluate documented resolutions and analyse trends to prevent future problems
On-going monitoring of use of the business applications in accordance to group standards
Collaborate with local key users to analyse and implement new locally required functionality, setup existing on-board functionality for covering local or client specific requirements
Report errors and new required features to the development team or vendor
Contribute to the improvement and growth of the Application Management Department
Key requirements
At least 5 years related work experience in trouble shooting and Supporting Business users.
Knowledge in Windows server basics, MS SQL is a plus
Good all-round knowledge on any ERP application (good to have Viewpoint hands-on though not mandatory)- ViewPoint training will be provided.
Experience in Finance domain would be an added advantage.
Understanding of Production support, functional acceptance testing
Must have experience in creation of Change Request and thorough knowledge of CAB process.
Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required
Excellent English, written and oral communication skills
