Job Description

The role

IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (ITBCDR) Governance Manager role is responsible for the alignment of recovery requirements to recovery capabilities, and the mitigation of IT availability risk. The role works in partnership with senior leadership including CISO, IT BPs, IT Governance, Risk and Assurance to build a business continuity planning and disaster recovery program for Group IT.

As the ITBCDR Manager, you will:
Partner closely with the BCM corporate program manager to execute the vision, strategy, goals and objectives of business continuity management program for Group IT.

Assume the role of single point of contact (SPOC) and advocate for matters relating to business resilience across the function

Development of methodology, frameworks, training material and other relevant artefacts to support and drive the delivery IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans

Work with Technology DR and Applications teams to ensure that published IT DR Plans remain current and identify opportunities for improvement.

Obtain test results from DR owners, report findings to IT Leadership Team, Risk Forum and log any identified risks in the risk register

Manage DR services that are non-compliant via Exceptions process to timely resolve deficiencies

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need:
Analytical skills as a business or IT analyst with process orientation

ITIL experience in an enterprise environment across a broad application base

Experience in or exposure to a Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery / Risk role

Knowledge of BCP / DR frameworks’ controls e.g. ISO27001, NIST, Essentials 8

Strong knowledge of industry best practices in BCP / DR
