Job Summary:
Trane Digital Solutions is a strategic growth initiative that will transform Trane’s $2 billion global services business and enable new high value service offerings and internal productivity gains. We are currently hiring a Technical Support Engineer with strong customer service skills and technical knowledge to support Trane’s field organization and our end customers in the sale, installation, and service/troubleshooting of Trane Connected Buildings Applications.
You will provide email and chat support for Trane’s technicians, account managers, and end customers. We are looking for someone who has a passion for customer service and working collaboratively with teams and who can maintain a pleasant and positive attitude with internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
Support software application users with technical assistance in the areas of user permissions, remote access, application questions, application usage and defect resolution
Use software tools for user requests management, progress tracking and knowledge retrieval
Develop technical expertise for assigned products and general knowledge of all Digital products
Perform root cause analysis and defect resolution
Contribute to standard work and templates
Qualifications:
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or similar field
Excellent command of English. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Quickly identify problems through investigative techniques
Demonstrated ability to meet short- and long-term deadlines
Strong customer service focus and ability to keep a positive demeanor under stress
Nice to have qualifications:
Strong typing skills
HVAC knowledge or experience
Networking experience, programming or database knowledge
Experience using and supporting software applications
Experience in a technical support or customer service role
Experience with Zendesk or other customer experience software
