Network Administrator duties and responsibilities
Assess a company or organization’s network and computer system needs.
Install hardware and software & Make upgrades and refresh as needed.
Collect and analyze data to optimize performance.
Onboard users to the network.
Oversee local area network and wide area network.
Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels
Troubleshooting and resolving Storage/SAN environment issues.
Troubleshooting system and server errors.
Reviewing system error logs and user-reported errors.
Proactively user access, monitoring system performance and capacity planning
Maintaining network/security architecture security and creating system backups
Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs
Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware
Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
Play a key role in Business Continuity Planning and DR strategy, ensuring our designs are considered by using 2-way/3-way Data replication strategy
Perform change management and incident management for enterprise storage systems
Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes
Network Administrator qualifications and requirements:
Cisco, Palo Alto, F5 Certified Professional preferred.
Previous working experience as a Storage Administrator for Min 8 years
Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar relevant degree
Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
Ability to create network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP
Strong problem solving and communication skills
Experience with automation, patch management, and networks including LAN and WAN.
Familiarity with modern operating systems and server platforms.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Good analytical and communication skills.
Availability to resolve urgent Network environment problems outside of business hours.
