MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
The role of Assistant IT Manager – Finance is to partner with various Finance Leadership teams in HUL and deliver Digital Capabilities to drive the next gen Finance function.
The Assistant IT Manager is required to understand the business processes, work on requirements with business representatives, create proposals and obtain program/budget approvals from the Finance controller’s office. Furthermore, the Assistant IT manager closely works with the Enterprise Architecture, SAP platform/Enterprise compute and Information Security teams to land the solutions on time in full. The scope of work involves technology finalization, technical design and external engagement within and outside Unilever.
The Assistant IT Manager will need to develop a strong understanding of the processes in the Finance function and develop a good understanding of the implementation of the processes in the current platform ecosystem of SAP, Cygnet, etc.
JOB SUMMARY
The Key Role of the Assistant IT Manager is to:
Change Catalyst
Partner with FET (Finance Excellence Team), taxation team, advising them on the Digital roadmap and investments and help reimaging the Finance Function in the Digital Age
Work with the Platform teams to design future fit digital solutions to support the finance function
Bring about change in the Finance function by establishing engagements with external forums, events and partners
Innovation & Value Delivery
Define the Digital investment roadmap for the Finance function through engagement with the Finance Leadership Team.
Deliver Local and Global Programs for the Finance function working with external partners as well as internal platform and program teams
Drive adoption, scale and value realization for the investments made in Digital
Work closely with Customer development for delivery of cross functional projects and programs
Govern resilient operations of the Finance platforms and work with the Platform teams for managing high levels of availability and planned downtimes
Identify key actions to address service improvement areas
Assist with communication and coordination on Urgent Incidents within the India and work with Finance teams and platforms in mitigating and resolving such issues. Manage escalation and drive resolution on urgent incidents
Support the platform teams in execution of DR plans and ensure processes are in place for this for the HUL organization
IT Budgets
Own and manage the IT budget for the run and innovation for the controllers team
Drive Continuous improvement and reduction on IT cost in the Finance function working closely with platform teams and procurement teams
Team and Collaboration
As part of UniOps South Asia In Market team, mentor and coach the Finance team as well as the larger S. Asia In Market team
As a leader in the team, establish the culture and priorities for the team and help build skills and a culture of learning
Establish a community of practice with counterparts in other In market teams and share best practices and learnings
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
Proven business partnering experience with experience in working with senior stakeholders.
Good understanding of technology and its impact in transforming the Unilever organization. Broad understanding of new technologies areas and their impact
Experience in creating digital transformation roadmaps and ability to advise & influence stakeholders on the transformation
Experience in delivering large IT programs and driving adoption and value realization
Good understanding of IT Operations and resilience
Desirable:
Understanding of Finance function and its processes
