YourRole:
The Networks Analyst supports multiple vendors globally who provide the network services to all office, factory and plantation sites. The Networks Analyst also supports in driving business changes and improvements through networks.
During initial set up of the new IT Landscape, the role will be focused on service acceptance as solutions are rolled out, managing the Intensive Care period, and addressing any issues. Once the IT landscape is fully established, the focus will move towards service stabilisation and improvement.
In the longer term, Networks Analyst function will monitor and report on the global Network landscape; ensure the smooth transition and planning of new capabilities; and drive continuous improvement and innovation in IT services and how they are managed.
YourKey Tasks:
Support in managing the network vendors globally for all office, factory and plantation locations.
Managing escalations for any of the network incidents.
Working with vendors to drive the design and delivery of identity solutions, understanding the complexities of the solution in relation to environment.
Monitoring SLA’s and KPIs that can be used by the ekaterra IT organisation when reviewing the IT Service Levels with the Business as well to manage the Vendor/s on contractual obligation.
Review monthly management reports detailing performance of networks.
Monitor the performance of the network team, providing support and guidance where require.
Facilitate in reviewing and renegotiating contract renewals with network providers.
Skills and Experience:
Experience in configuring and managing network infrastructure
Degree in technology-related field, or equivalent work- or education-related experience.
A clear external lens on IT development and trends that can support the Roadmap for IT Infrastructure
Practical working knowledge of the following protocols and technologies – MPLS, DWDM, VPN, TCP/IP, SSL, VoIP/SIP
Practical working knowledge WAN/SD LAN, Switches, Routers, Firewalls (CCNA)
Practical working knowledge of Network security
Practical working knowledge Network and Voice troubleshooting
Experience of working in challenging environments typically seen across sites / plantations. This is likely to involve knowledge in Wi-fi, Radio and Satellite technologies to address some of the logistical challenges in supporting strategic solutions such as IoT.
Asset management including device provisioning, automation and management
Good understanding of environmental challenges and how they need to be taken into account and understood
