Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Desktop Support Engineer to join our team. As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices. Your primary focus will be to ensure efficient and effective resolution of technical issues, while delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
– Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
– Troubleshoot and resolve desktop/laptop hardware and software problems.
– Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.
– Set up and configure new workstations, including peripherals, such as printers and scanners.
– Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues.
– Assist in the maintenance of IT inventory and documentation.
– Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues.
– Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures for IT security and data protection.
– Conduct user training and support for software applications and systems.
– Provide timely updates and maintain accurate records of support requests.
Requirements:
– Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or similar role.
– Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
– Proficiency in troubleshooting desktop/laptop hardware and software issues.
– Familiarity with network protocols, TCP/IP, and troubleshooting network connectivity.
– Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and remote support tools.
– Basic understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
– Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
– Strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate effectively with end-users.
– Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
– Certification in relevant IT fields (e.g., Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) is a plus.
