About The Job
We’re looking for 1st Line Support Engineer to participate in the development IT Team.
Responsibilities:
Working with the Service Desk Manager and the Infrastructure Team, ensure the delivery of day-to-day support to the organization’s users, covering servers, network, applications, desktops, laptops, telephony, and mobile devices
On a rota basis, undertake routine daily checks and maintenance and act as the 1st line escalation point of contact in resolving user and technical issues.
Ensure service delivery in accordance with established service level agreements (SLAs)
Ensure network performance is maintained through monitoring, troubleshooting network problems and outages, and ensuring appropriate recovery standard operating procedures are in place
Proactively undertake the day-to-day delivery of Infrastructure Service Desk operations. This will involve providing hands-on support to users, as well as back-end troubleshooting of servers and network. Front-end support includes thin clients, PCs, laptops, smartphones and tablets; VOIP telephony, MFDs; and various applications in addition to MS Office
Maintain a proactive role in monitoring all requests, incidents, and problems, having complete visibility on the Infrastructure Service Desk
Respond to Service Desk phone calls/tickets as needed, focusing on 1st line tickets and activities. Escalate when necessary to the Service Desk Manager
Contribute to the maintenance and documentation of the infrastructure estate: records of builds, hardware, licenses, systems configurations, change requests, systems, and processes
Undertake change management of the infrastructure estate
Work an out-of-hours shift if asked to, compensated by corporate company guidelines
Undertake infrastructure project work and continuous improvement activities as part of the annual work plan
Management of relationships with third parties and suppliers
Prepare and install all standard and specific IT environments (desktops, laptops, servers, peripheral, audio- and video-communication equipment). Install, configure and upgrade operating systems and software using standard business and project-specific packages. Configure and communication network and telecommunication links
Assist in installing network infrastructure equipment, including cabling plants, communications backbone equipment, and telecommunications hardware
Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting LAN and WAN systems and resolving communications and networking problems
Provide training to users on IT infrastructure usage
Create and update existing IT written documentation (users’ guidelines, manuals, how-to, checklists, procedures, policies, etc.)
Perform other duties of a similar nature or level
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years experience in IT Support / HelpDesk / ServiceDesk
Knowledge in LAN/WAN: DHCP, DNS, Routing, TCP/IP stack, VLAN etc
Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory architecture (Security model, Group Policies, minor configuration change)
Mail: good understanding in mail protocols (SMTP, POP3, IMAP/MAPI)
Knowledge of Windows Server 20xx
Solid knowledge of Windows desktop administration
PC architecture understanding
Strong HW/SW problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Willingness and ability to plan and perform tasks before the deadline
Ability to provide technical training to end users and other IT Stuff
Ambition to learn new systems, procedures, and techniques in a short period of time.
Ability to work independently or within an existing team of IT professionals
The initiative, self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
Experience in Mac administration, Mac HW, and OS troubleshooting
Experience in Analogue and VoIP telephony administration
Strong spoken/written English and communication skills
