Ventana Micro Systems Looking for IT Manager at Pune, Maharashtra, India Full Time

Ventana Micro Systems (http://www.ventanamicro.com) is a well-funded start-up, founded by seasoned industry veterans, that is developing a family of best-in-class, high-performance RISC-V CPU cores and compute subsystems. We are a leader in high performance computing with RISC-V.

We are looking to fill multiple IT manager roles to support the development of our innovative RISC-V processors and subsystems. We have offices in Pune and Bangalore, India and in the United States in California and Texas.

Roles: Manager/Director of IT, Multiple Openings

Locations: Pune, Bangalore, San Francisco Bay Area

Position: Full time or Contract-to-hire with immediate start

Job Duties

• Manage and lead Ventana’s IT team and be responsible for the overall IT function including building and staffing the desired support teams in the US and India
• Own Ventana’s datacenter consisting of a Linux server farm; upgrade, install licenses and maintain the machines as needed closely working with the engineering teams.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows based laptops for all employees and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Manage central helpdesk system used by all employees within the company.
• Manage conference room AV equipment and troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed.
• Work across geographies interfacing with the engineering, product, and business teams.
• Manage Ventana’s global email, DNS servers, web server, meetings systems, AWS instances and other cloud providers working closely with the engineering teams.

Skills And Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical/electronics engineering or computer engineering or related engineering fields
• 12+ years of IT experience in a managerial or individual contributor role; professional IT certification would be an added plus.
• Experience with setting up datacenters with servers, installation of software, licenses, upgrades working in a Linux environment.
• Experience installing and managing Windows based laptops.
• Experience with network installation including Palo Alto firewall/PAN configuration and maintenance.
• Experience with GlobalProtect or alternate VPN technologies.
• Experience with gitlab configuration and set-up will be an added plus.
• Experience in working with domain name providers like GoDaddy or Cloudflare, setting up and managing global domain names.
• Experience with AWS node administration.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills and good English communications skills, both verbal and writing
