RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop detailed specifications for EHR functionality and content that optimizes health care provider workflow while balancing technological feasibility with documentation requirements from regulatory organizations, insurance companies, and professional societies across multiple medical disciplines
Define EHR functionality and content requirements across a variety of ambulatory medical disciplines: multi-specialty physician practices, chiropractic, physical therapy, and behavioral health
Advise the EHR project team on the interpretation of the rules and criteria of the 2015 ONC Certification.
Perform Federal Health Policy analysis and determine its impact on and inter-relationships with EHR development efforts.
Research, identify and recommend resources required for task execution and completion
Coordinate with the software development team to ensure faithful and timely implementation of specifications
Develop and implement processes for on-going and timely incorporation of updated documentation guidelines and requirements into the software platform
Engage client stakeholders regularly to continuously expand our institutional expertise in healthcare provider workflow
Objectively measure healthcare provider satisfaction with content and usability
Coordinate the on-going development and improvement of software documentation including manuals and tutorial videos
MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years Prior experience in healthcare software management including:
Practice Management/EHR system specification development and testing
ONC certification process
Development of an EHR as a team leader or project manager
Project management and system analysis
Mastery of clinical documentation requirements across multiple medical disciplines
Mastery of healthcare technology implementation standards such as HL7, CCDA, and QRDA
In-depth knowledge of Quality Payment Program (QPP) and detailed understanding of Clinical Quality Measures (CQMs) implementation
Basic knowledge of medical billing processes
Outstanding problem solving and analysis skills
Outstanding leadership skills with internal and external customers
Excellent oral and written communication skills
College degree or equivalent
