Responsibilities
– Cold call people using a given calling database to pitch for technology products/solutions
– Use scripts to provide information about the product’s features, benefits & prices as available
– Ask pertinent questions to understand the customer’s requirements
– Persuade the customer to evaluate the product and get into a detailed technical discussion with the pre-sales team Record the customer’s personal information accurately in a computer system
– Go the “extra mile” to meet the lead generation quota and facilitate future sales
– Keep records of calls and sales and record useful information
Requirements
– Proven experience as telemarketer within the IT industry – min 3 years
– Ability to understand technology products and pitch them to prospective customers
– Proven track record of successfully meeting lead generation quotas
– Working knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g. CRM software) and telephone systems
– Excellent communication and presentation skills
– Proficient in English
– Persistent and results-oriented
– Patient and able to handle customer rejection
