As part of this role, you will build deep expertise in VMWare’s exciting range of Product Portfolios and own Product roadmap and multi generation product strategy in the modules of overall Configure, Price and Quoting (CPQ) space. You will not only get to interact with business champions but you will also be encouraged to bring Industry expertise, Outside-in perspective of various SaaS business models, solution / design ideas to the forum, ability to pick all the chosen one towards execution.
Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
Build a strong network with peer and stakeholders group. Influence assertively your solution ideas to wide range of business and functional stakeholders with evaluated business benefits. Build strong functional knowledge in the subject area specific to Configure / Price / Quote and act functional SME.
The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
Work collaboratively with Business, Functional and Technical leads to decipher business requirements, solution designs to construct meaningful and simple user stories. Translate the user stories to technical teams for technical design and delivery of the feature set. Actively participate in the testing of feature sets with QA teams to co-build and pass test cases. Take the lead as SME in the functional User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and troubleshoot / root case any issues with development teams. Lead the business showcases to user satisfaction.
What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?
You are expected to take independent lead for the project track you are leading and future aspiration of the role will be to transform into a SME / leader that acts like a go-to person for all queries specific to the area. You will be reporting in to Sr. IT Manager in the team who leads the Engineering delivery of Renewals and various other CDTO priorities within the GCE organization. Where is this role located?
Flexible: The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager. You will be expected to live within a reasonable non-daily commute of the office.
