You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and product owners to build and operate this world-class commerce platform.

What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?
You will be responsible for managing a landscape of diverse technology platforms spanning ERP, custom applications and modern micro services-based apps. You will guide your team in delivering new capabilities as well as ensure current business operations continue to work seamlessly. You will be collaborating with multiple teams (IT Engineering, Product Management, Business operations, R&D Product Organizations) to solve business challenges. You will have the freedom and responsibility to plan and prioritize engineering efforts that align with organizational goals. You will coach and manage a high-performance engineering team of individual contributors and managers who are deeply technical, dynamic, agile, dedicated and innovative. Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
An ability to innovate, adapt and execute in a dynamic environment with clear leadership skills at a senior level will be key to your success in this role.
The first 6-8 weeks:
Develop a good understanding of your team. Their strengths, weaknesses, and development goals.
Understand your team’s challenges
Gain an understanding of applications, system and services tech stack, and key business processes
Act as single point of accountability for business stakeholders, analyze issues for root cause and work cross-functionally to resolve and address issues in a timely fashion
Understand the engineering processes
Build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Start to lead with influence across leadership levels
8-12 weeks onward:
Be accountable for all aspects of application and delivery of initiatives
Build and nurture healthy relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Drive project delivery across cross functional teams
Recruit, coach and retain top talent, motivate team members, and align them to common goals, coordinate with cross-functional teams
Hands on engagement reviewing Architecture & Design specs, Code, and test plans, defining test strategy and triaging of defects with engineers across Development and Testing
Set a high bar for quality and performance and work with all stakeholders to maintain that
Ensure that the programs you manage are successful, and your team can stay engaged while having a good work/life balance
You are able provide a vision of the future state of the programs you manage, including feature and architecture roadmaps .
What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
As a leader in Engineering
Requires implementing/development experience on ERPs (Oracle, SAP, etc) and custom applications (legacy Java apps or micro services)
Open to learn and help transitioning from Oracle ERP to SAP BRIM solution
Experience of business domains in the order to cash space
Hands-on Functional and/or Technical experience in any of the technologies above
Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions
Working knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best of breed Engineering practices
Working knowledge of DevOps processes at scale
Experience in integrated business systems development
Ability to ensure adherence to coding standards, unit testing, code security etc
Experience with developing highly available distributed systems
Experience in leading and mentoring a team of 10+ engineers to deliver program objectives.
Exposure to managing headcount, budget, hiring, on-boarding
What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?
You will be reporting to the Director – Digital Platform Engineering (DPE). You will work closely with Engineers, Product Owners, Leads, and Architects.
Digital Platforms Engineering is a highly collaborative team with global presence. The team is responsible for managing multiple packaged (ERP) and custom applications in order to support R&D business units and internal business operations team.
