About Team:

Transformation team is chartered with conceptualizing tech & business services transformation themes and design the approach, execute and drive the charter in line with IDC’s strategic vision as a center of tech and product engineering. While the pillars focus on their specific business vertical areas, transformation team is responsible for horizontal programs in terms of operational excellence, business services evolution, talent transformation etc., that require collaboration across the pillars, cross functional leverage and leadership without authority, among others. We work with our business, design, and engineering counterparts in enabling the successful planning and delivery of various portfolios that power the Walmart US flywheel.

As a horizontal team, having insights into key programs across pillars is a differentiating factor that helps moving things and navigate better.

What you’ll do:

The role will help drive the efforts on capability maturity, deliver efficiency through matured capabilities, develop PoC on new capabilities and incubate, analyze business process and re-engineer for optimization & efficiency

Understands broader objectives of strategic programs at business / enterprise level and articulate the driving factors of the program as well as the expected outcome / targets. Drive Business Process Re-engineering, Optimization and mature the underlying capabilities. Drive Value Stream Mapping and deliver efficiency, cost savings through mature capabilities Define, track and report the activities and the outcome of various streams under the broader scope of the program Experience in working with vendors on various operating models and deliver efficiency through strong governance. Lead the strategic initiative / program which will require interaction with cross-functional teams spread across geography to deliver complex programs Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus program constraints. Managing risks, issues, interdependencies and taking corrective measurements; Managing the main program documentations through the centralized repository Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities. Interact with project Sponsors, project Stakeholders and multiple business and technical teams to drive business plans, update the program status Have a good and deep understanding of the eCommerce and/ or store retail business and the dependencies and be able to partner with various teams to drive meaningful outcomes that can be tracked Influence internal product, engineering and other program management teams on key initiatives that enables Global Tech to deliver at scale.

What you’ll bring:

• Overall 18+ Years of experience and 10+ Years of Technical Strategy & Implementation
• Experience leading complex large technical programs/ products and teams in software delivery within a related industry managing aggressive schedules and significant business impact.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team of technical program managers and engineers.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully managing and leading teams, setting clear goals, providing constructive feedback, and conducting performance evaluations to drive individual and team growth.
• Exceptional ability to delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient project execution while maintaining accountability and fostering a collaborative and empowering work environment.
• Experience supporting and executing a large software portfolio, collaborating with multiple business stakeholders.
• Experienced in system/platform design concepts, architecture, technical design, services, APIs, and technologies.
• Build positive relationships and collaborate with product managers to understand target personas and business process needs, which you will then translate into features and user stories that engineers will leverage to iterate products quickly.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a love for data and solving complex problems.
• Deep Data analytics skill
• Has an extensive knowledge in DevOps, Agile, SRE and Operational Excellence
• Ability to communicate both at the executive and team level, skilled in Data-driven, objective analysis and decision making.
• Comfortable presenting to and persuading multiple stakeholders from front line associates to business and Global Technology Executives

Your Qualifications

• Masters in degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.
• 18+ years of experience in platform management, building techno functional solutions, analyze business processes & optimize and cutting-edge product development space with good technology, consulting, and product knowledge
• 10+ years’ supervisory experience leading cross-functional program teams.
• 5+ years’ experience in retail industry
• Proven work experience overseeing, strategizing, and optimizing the roadmap of software/systems support management including staffing, products, technology etc.
• Experience in hiring, coaching and mentoring a team of high potential technical program managers
• Excellent interpersonal skills, good with people, ability to negotiate and drive difficult conversation in influencing the product adoption.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment in managing technology-intensive, time-sensitive, geographically dispersed product support organization across multiple locations and multiple domains.
• Proven ability to manage ambiguity and preparedness to get things done.
