We have an amazing opportunity for a IT Security Manager, available within our Global Business Services division! This position has been created due to growth. Our IT Security Manager will be responsible for working closely with project teams and internal / external groups to protect and enhance the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Wolters Kluwer assets.
As the IT Security Manager, primary responsibilities include conducting analysis for various programs/projects to protect information assets owned and in use at Wolters Kluwer. In this role, you will be required to have proficiency in formulating detailed and wholistic analysis documents to support various security initiatives. Additionally, this role will include coordination with application security, audits, and IT global information security initiatives and compliance tasks and/or projects.
Responsibilities also include the delivery of technical solutions to address business problems; lead complex, multi-disciplinary security projects using your expertise; plan requirements with internal business unit stakeholders and manage projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders.
The IT Security Manager will lead security teams with technical and strategic direction, own management and prioritization of bug report and feature request queues, interact and engage with the global, cross-organization customer base.
This position requires a proactive, self-starter with strong experience and should be comfortable explaining the team’s analyses and recommendations to business unit technical and business executives with regard to product development. Additionally, the IT Security Manager must have experience and be comfortable with complex international project environments; capable of assessing customer requirements and developing an integrated (technical, business, and service) solution, while leading the development of cost estimates for the solution in the field.
By using extensive technical and leadership expertise, this position will manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.
This position is a liaison between clients/internal departments and development/technology teams. Defines detailed product, functional or systems requirements, analyzes business needs, and validates solutions with client/internal users for product implementation, integrations or other projects. Details requirements through product development and/or other functions to support the project team. Provides technical guidance for efficient design, configuration and implementation. May assist with testing to analyze results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Represent Wolters Kluwer within the industry by developing and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of Wolters Kluwer products, industry trends and general business and financial acumen through various sources and initiative. Communicate Wolters Kluwer competitive advantage to customers in a compelling articulate manner in speech, writing and formal presentation.
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/MIS or equivalent
Preferred certifications: PMP or ITIL or equivalent
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years-of demonstrated experience in managing information technology and security projects,
5+ years of hands on experience / knowledge in business/functional analysis
5+ Experience managing projects within shared services model, vendor and managed security services management, enterprise wide transition and transformation programs
5+ years of Experience with project management, ITIL, etc.
Security Certifications is a plus.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
An ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in an easily-understood, authoritative, and actionable manner
Strong knowledge of the following areas of technical expertise: business and functional documentation, Visio and workflows as well as process optimization.
Deep experience implementing and leading information security application security related programs with regard to compliance and guidance.
In-depth and hands on expertise to guide the projects with ability to recommend means to address those project gaps and needs regarding business analysis and coordination.
Strong influencing skills and the ability to champion security and educate project teams on the latest security risk, software protection, application security technologies.
Strong work ethic, excellent use of discretion and judgment, and the mature ability to establish credibility and rapport with technical and non-technical team members.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
Strong understanding of security requirements in the application development life cycle
Experience in organizing change management, awareness and training for end users, as well as acting as an internal consultant to IT leaders, Architects and Operations for planning and implementing IT initiatives
Strong technical management skills in overseeing security assessments of external service providers, providing security guidance, and overseeing mock security breach exercises
Strong project management and business requirement development skills in a very fast paced, complex, and demanding environment
Solid grasp of technical concepts and practices
Experience in supporting Enterprise systems, proprietary and customer security applications
Successful background in analysis and problem solving
Exposure to major technological change or deployment projects strongly desired
Proficient knowledge of business analysis, quality assurance, and workflow tools and/or practices.
Experience in requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation
Demonstrated ability in data analysis, reporting, statistical analysis, and related tools
Must have knowledge of cyber security related technologies
