This role will will be responsible for implementing IT systems for the Quote to Cash capabilities for our services business, as well as tool design, adoption, and maintenance. This role will be responsible for designing the interaction of tools across regional Services Delivery teams and designing the professional services automation, subscription management process for all segments across all geographies.
Responsibilities:
Act as the technical expert for vendor selection, sourcing, RFP, trial, implementation, continual iteration, and, eventually, decommission.
Act as a consultant to Services Operations leadership around process improvements
Develop business cases for new emerging demand requests, help estimate costs, timelines, resources needed for project execution.
Ensure consultation of business leadership to understand the needed modifications and the objectives in situations when management adapts their strategies to respond to macro industry changes. These changes must be quickly reflected in systems to maintain their relevance and effectiveness.
Ensure that the technology stack is compliant within all of the geographies it operates.
Lead the collection and documentation of the business’ user stories and obtaining feedback when procuring a new tool or replacing an existing one.
Gain approval of the solution design by all stakeholders, creating test plans, conducting UAT, and decommissioning any legacy systems if one is being replaced.
Prepares a variety of system development cost estimates, budgets, and schedules
Prepares and presents cross-functional project proposals to management and user departments
Reviews current status of systems, applications and/or infrastructure and prepares recommendations for improvements
Plans, manages and controls the activities of a team that provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems, applications or infrastructure that are cost effective and meet user requirements
Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
Works with internal and/or external customers applying a strong understanding of current business trends
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or. Advanced Degree preferred
Minimum 8+ years of experience in IT or equivalent discipline with at least 2 years of management/supervisory experience
Experience managing professional staff
Ability to manage budgets
Ability to identify and manage process improvements
Demonstrate interaction with subordinates, customers, and/or peer group managers; often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team
Demonstrates technical and management skills
Functional knowledge of service contracts, subscription management systems, professional services automation
Prior knowledge and implementation experience with Salesforce.com, MS Dynamics, Oracle Cloud or any service contracts/subscription management software.
Preferred qualifications
Experience with the Agile framework.
Strong knowledge of industry trends for enterprise scale applications and database strategies.
Excellent rapport building skills and a track record of success working collaboratively with other members of the business such as Directors, VPs as well as cross functional teams which may include Sales & Marketing, Corporate Strategy, Legal, Finance, IT, Business Intelligence, and Services leadership.
A track record of success as a Subject Matter Expert in a large variety of additional software applications, as well as the business acumen required to apply them to business problems.
Track record of success being inquisitive and constantly wondering how we can make the sales cycle faster, more effective, and/or easier to complete.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Advanced Degree preferred
Minimum 12+ years of experience in IT or equivalent discipline with at least 5 years of management experience
Ability to manage leaders of others
Experience managing budgets
Ability to apply strategic concepts for process improvement
Demonstrate regular interactions with Senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, business units, and/or customers
