Minimum Requirements:
4 to 7 years of experience as System Administrator
At least 1 to 2 years of experience as a Team Lead with team size of 10+ engineers
Good mentor, great team player and collaborator with cross-functional teams
Must have an eye for detail, well-versed with root cause analysis and finding solutions for repetitive issues
Should have driven at least 2 major infrastructure implementations or initiatives end to end
Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment, must be organized and have the ability to manage projects of varying length
Good understanding of ticketing system and monitoring dashboards
Advanced knowledge of Windows Server (2012/2016) /desktop Operating Systems (Win 7/8/10)
Strong understanding of Active Directory/LDAP user / group administration, Group Policy design and configuration
Linux/UNIX administration and hands-on experience in managing server virtualization technologies like Linux KVM, VMWare Server/ESX or Microsoft Hyper-V
Strong understanding of LAN/WAN networking
Basic level of scripting (perl, shell, python) knowledge to automate routine IT tasks and scheduled jobs
Good communication, reporting and documentation skills
Good to have:
Hands-on experience in hardware and software deployments/rollouts
Ability to troubleshoot network issues including back bone infrastructure issues, LAN Routing and Switching design, (VLANs, IP Subnetting, 802.1Q trunks)
Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently
Qualifications
ITIL Foundation Certified (MUST)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related area) preferred.
MCSE, RHEL certification or any other equivalent certification in relevant programs desired
Cisco Certified Network Associate or Professional -CCNA/ CCNP MCITP Server
Cloud Certification Foundation / Associate level desired
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Design, install and configure internal and customer facing servers, network devices and firewalls.
Proactively manage and maintain servers, virtual machines, network and firewall systems
Administer and support core Microsoft, Cisco/Brocade, Linux (CentOS) and storage technologies
Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans
Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment
Define and document best practices and standard operating procedures
Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend maintenance
Create system health reports and document root cause analysis for repeated issues
Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation
Assist with hardware, firewall, telecom and software vendor evaluation, recommendation and negotiations
Mentor / cross train team members on existing and new technologies
Carry out special tasks, Initiatives, Service Improvements at Management’s direction
Interact with end users and staff at the technical level, as required.
