The ServiceNow System Administrator maintains the stability and usability of the ServiceNow platform by performing application maintenance, managing support for incidents related to ServiceNow applications, and contributing to ServiceNow software readiness by delivering configuration tasks and features. The ServiceNow System Administrator has sound technical ability and enables the fulfillment of common configuration and maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Your deliverables will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manages and resolves incidents against ServiceNow applications
Performs routine maintenance to include performance monitoring and error identification/remediation
Manages Update Set creation, migrations and deployments
Leads ServiceNow upgrade planning and execution
Schedules and verifies instance clones and upgrades
Manages instance Security, User/Group Access/Access Control Lists
Monitors and reports on Instance security
Maintains data quality throughout platform (users, assignment groups, etc.)
Monitors ServiceNow support portal for open cases, availability reporting and system notifications
Advises and manages plugins from ServiceNow store
Required Experience:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently and take initiative in identifying and addressing challenges
Experienced in effectively coordinating multiple initiatives and working with conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of SLA configuration and remediation
Experience in creating reports and dashboards
Ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously, efficiently and within a pre-determined time frame
Flexible to work in a constantly changing, high-pressure environment
Ability to build effective relationships with a range of team members, stakeholders, partners, and business users
Displays a sense of ownership and exhibits flexibility, resilience, and resourcefulness.
Strong knowledge of ITSM tools
1-2 years of ServiceNow administrator experience (required)
ServiceNow System Administrator certification (required)
Basic knowledge of web services
Experience creating ServiceNow update sets, promoting and testing through multiple instances into production.
Applicants should be willing to support global product deployments, working across different time zones.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline required.
