Primary Responsibilities:
People Management:
Set performance goals and perform performance reviews/appraisals
Identify individual developmental needs and provides development opportunities
Helps develop direct reports by providing timely feedback and coaching, conducting formal performance reviews, and assisting employees with creating development plans.
Monitors performance and provides constructive feedback.
Recognizes high performing employees through excellence awards, meeting notices, other public announcements, and recommendations for merit increases and promotions.
Mentor/Coach team members to identify and achieve their career goals.
Identify and schedule training to enhance technical and non-technical knowledge/skills of the team
Hire and retain talent
Supervises employees who generally perform either a single task or multiple, but closely related tasks.
May be responsible for application and effective execution of human resource practices across team.
Functional / Technical Management
Results-oriented team leader who is accountable and drives execution.
Understands vision, goals and direction of team / organization.
Assigns work to individuals; prioritizes tasks and initiatives; negotiates delivery date for work with requestor.
Making sure team Deliver productsrelease to scope, schedule and quality
Acts as a liaison and/or resource to the team.
Provide leadership and mentor in engineering best practices, including agile development methodologies, service architectures, and design patterns.
Manage and prioritize deliverables- Actively engage in resolving key issues that impact the team or the product
Continuously improve team efficiency through technical growth, process, and tools.
Report status to senior management- Recognizes when to escalate a situation to next level of management

Encourage process and product innovation and drive efficiency
Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement.
Thinks out of the box and approaches situations from a no boundaries view point.

Candidate Profile/requirement:
Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s preferred, with a previous experience managing software development team
Min 3+ years as manager with experience of managing team of 5-8 people.
Experience in delivering performance review, rating, managing performance improvement plan
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous product development efforts and programs
Skilled communicator within a worldwide team of engineers, developers and managers.
Good communication and presentation skills
Experience in all phases of SDLC
Experience in an Agile environment; DevOps technologies; CI/CD.
Experience working with globally distributed teams
Exposure to Tools and Infrastructure for change management Release Engineering/development – eg JIRA.
Desirable but not mandatory: Prior Experience with Java and Javascript programming languages and/or SFDC. Exposure to change management tool – JIRA, Remedy, Service now
