You will be required to work on-site via remote connection and assist with hardware installations, software upgrades, systems
integrations, and basic IT-related issues.
To ensure success as a desktop support engineer, you should have extensive knowledge of home and office systems, good problem-
solving skills, and high-level interpersonal skills. A top-class desktop support engineer provides fast and effective support for
clients experiencing basic hardware and software issues.
Technical troubleshooting of laptop / desktop
Primary Duties / Responsibilities
1) Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
2) Responding to client support requests.
3) Contacting clients to find out the nature of the problem.
4) Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
5) Installing and maintaining hardware and computer peripherals.
6) Having good knowledge of os installation. (OS via PD and OS via SCCM.)
7) CConnectingto field Support engineer for OS installation hardware troubleshooting/ physical check issue
8) Aware of of ticketing tools.
9) Support, Manage, Optimise and Maintain the configuration and installation of the Desktop,patch updates, Version Update of applications
10) Monitor security profiles and anti-virus software on all Desktop Devices and take appropriate action in the event of non-compliance with security requirements.
Desktop Support Engineer Requirements:
First Level support for all Desktop calls
Installation of Std. Wintel Desktop Operating Systems
Should be familiar with Desktop concept in an active directory environment.
Installation of Std. Non-Wintel Desktop Operating Systems
Email client configuration/Outlook
Configuration of printer drivers for local and network printers on the desktops
Install desktop OS, various applications
Configuration of mail clients and troubleshooting mail client related issues
Troubleshoot and resolve desktop issues end users
Installation and Software Support on Office Automation software, Anti-virus software, Email Client (Outlook), IE, Chrome & other Business Critical Applications
