DESCRIPTION
The Global RAD Operations (GRO) network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon internal customers every day. GRO is looking for a motivated, customer-focused individual to join our team as the Asia Pacific (APAC) Regional Operations Manager. This leader will direct and develop a team of salaried and hourly talent. They will engage their team during operational shifts to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance by providing appropriate tools for success while driving improvements in productivity and efficiency through data-driven decisions and analytical problem-solving. The regional leader will also play a key role in maintaining GRO customer expectations to ensure customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location.
GRO’s workflow has three major components: First Mile – receiving and stowing product in RAD Middle Mile – picking, prepping, and packing the product for shipment and Last Mile – delivering product to the internal customer’s door. Please note that all workflows have slight building variations, but one thing is constant: our vision and dedication to the customer.
The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for all elements of RAD operations within their region. This leader will create and define the operational structure and strategic direction for the team with minimal guidance from management to meet a three-year plan. They will support and influence RAD operations globally, working closely with other regional leaders to define operations and deploy to the highest standards. The Regional Operations Manager will deploy solutions and processes with long-term perspective that supports their vision and tenets. As roadmap creator for the region, this leader will participate in the GRO planning and budgeting process (OP1/OP2). They will raise the bar by leading and coaching a team of operations managers and associates while building partnerships with other supply chain teams.
The Regional Operations Manager will define and create metrics, finding systemic issues and providing clear guidance on how to resolve or remove barriers for their team. They are the single point of contact for the Supply Chain organization within their region. With strong communication skills and a data driven / analytic mindset, they will negotiate, influence, and exemplify the Amazon Leadership Principles.
