Function Description:
The Colleague Services and Digital Capabilities (CSDC) organization within the Colleague Experience Group (CEG – also known as Human Resources) at American Express plays a critical role in providing the outstanding services, capabilities, data, and insights that enable a great colleague experience. We build, run, and evolve the incredible platforms, products and services that enable colleagues to do their best work every single day.
This role will report to the Director of Digital Product Solution Design within CSDC. As part of this team, you will provide in-depth expertise on the use and configuration of Oracle Fusion Cloud applications to create intuitive, end-to-end colleague experiences, enable efficient HR business processes, and to accelerate business strategy. Working in close partnership with the Technology organization and peers supporting HCM, recruiting, and talent verticals, you will be responsible for ensuring that there is a robust strategy, roadmap and business architecture for Oracle Fusion Cloud. Under your leadership, our Oracle-based products are on a continuous path of improvement and American Express is equipped to take full advantage of the current and upcoming features from Oracle and their PaaS ecosystem.
Job responsibilities include:
Own and drive the Oracle strategy for HR use cases, championing a platform-centric approach to increase value for colleagues and partners
Implement a strong product mind-set as part of a hard-working team, bringing your deep functional expertise from across Oracle’s HR toolset
Act as domain expert providing best-practice guidance on intercompany business processes and Oracle HCM cloud functional expertise on Core HR, Oracle Recruiting, Talent Management, Learning, Sandbox customization, workflows.
Be the authority on current and upcoming platform features – helping your partners to see how they add and advance their business strategy.
Build strategic partnership with SaaS providers and other partners; influencing roadmaps and unlocking new ways to supercharge the colleague experience
Understand how to convert high-level business strategy into system configurations in Oracle modules, providing alternate solutions that balance complexity, scope, and time-to-market
Assist with defining scope, estimates and best approach for adding new features.
Collaborate with HR teams, Technology and other partners supporting roadmaps and looking for process improvements with our Oracle HCM products.
Document and maintain the business architecture of the Oracle platform
Key Qualifications:
7+ years’ experience as a techno-functional lead in Oracle HCM Cloud with an expertise of Oracle in Core HR, Talent, Learning and Recruiting.
7+ years’ experience of improving business value from SaaS solutions, including driving transformation of business processes to best take advantage of the tools available
7+ years’ hands on experience leading the implementation and optimization of Oracle cloud tools and other cloud HR platforms at enterprise-scale
Hands-on Oracle HCM experience including Core HR, Oracle Recruiting, Talent management, Learning modules.
Exceptional ability to communicate complex technology solutions and ideas to diverse partners, including technical teams, business partners, and senior leadership
Ability of understand existing configuration, design and business requirements to articulate continuous improvement and development roadmaps.
Ability to engage business in thoughtful dialog to elicit requirements
Strong understanding of business architecture, journey mapping etc.
Ability to provide consultation and thought leadership on large-scale, sophisticated digital transformation initiatives
Must have the ability to “connect the dots” between new business requirements with HCM functional/technical capabilities.
Ability to push the boundaries of existing technologies and processes.
Strong leadership with the ability to influence others through partnerships.
