Job brief:
We are looking for a Tech support Engineer who is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve system issues reported by clients and maintain scalable digital health products on our proprietary platform, HealthMachine®. You’ll be part of the platform maintenance team that’s responsible for the upkeep of the React.js web clinical interface, the Ruby on Rails API backend, the patient-facing mobile application solutions built with React Native and all associated services. You will be responsible for maintaining a platform that supports thousands of users.

This job is for someone who wants to learn and understand how platforms and various moving components are orchestrated. You will get wide exposure to maintaining API backends, test suites, CI-CD pipelines, hybrid mobile application development using React Native and TypeScript, CMS like Strapi and WordPress and many other associated platform modules.
Each day you will be solving a new problem. In this role, you must be an exceptional team player who will work with various cross-functional business units in Avegen.
Responsibilities:
Providing technical support for all the live Healthcare products of Avegen.
Taking ownership of customer reported issues and seeing problems through to resolution.
Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve system issues.
Be a team player and contribute to the day-to-day activities of the team.
Should be able to understand and read the existing code to resolve the system issues.
Debug issues using browser developer tools, checking the server logs, and identifying bugs in code.
Provide correct effort estimates to resolve the Service Desk tickets.
Work with the squads and other internal stakeholders to ideate, develop, design and improve the existing software solutions.
Write clean, functional code for the front-end and back-end and ensure performance and efficiency.
Contribute to tweaking and maintaining RESTful services and APIs.
Maintain compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 13485, and Cyber Essentials that Avegen adheres to.
Maintain code, write unit tests and assist DevOps in CI/CD to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
Carry out engineering development with a strong focus on error handling, performance monitoring and QoE metrics across the application and advocate best practices for application development and lay down best coding practices.
Work autonomously and figure out solutions to challenges and seek help from seniors when required.
Stay abreast of developments in web/mobile applications and programming languages.
Requirements:
BE/BTech/MS in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in working with Javascript.
Hands-on experience working in Ruby on Rails or similar MVC frameworks.
Knowledge of developing web and mobile applications.
Knowledge of front-end languages like JavaScript, HTML, CSS and their libraries.
Exposure to JavaScript frameworks like React.js, Angular, Vue etc.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues.
Good understanding of version control systems like Git.
Good command of the Unix operating system.
Aspire to become better at coding, grow with the company and be fascinated with learning new tools, languages, philosophies, and workflows.
Excellent communication skills and a great attitude, enjoy engaging with multiple stakeholders to understand and solve challenges.
Self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Sense of ownership about the task/assignment/product and ability to complete an assigned task within the stipulated time.
