Job Description Summary

We are seeking a career driven Jr. Systems Administrator to assist with the configuration and support of Windows servers, Active Directory, and virtualization environments. Administrator will also have opportunity to learn and assist with the design and implementation of new enterprise system technologies.

Administrator applies general understanding of server, storage, backups, and virtualization to support services for internal users.

Job Description

The Systems Administrator will join a global team that provides support for physical and virtual server infrastructure in over 40 US and India locations. This includes hardware, software, storage, and active directory services to 1500 global employees. The role will also provide Tier 2 and 3 call support for complex client issues. Opportunities will be available to provide leadership and lead projects.

Requirements/Responsibilities

Intermediate knowledge of Windows Server 2016 and 2019 operating systems

Intermediate knowledge of VMware ESX 5.5 and above

Familiarity with TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS

Experience with patching ESX and Windows Server systems

Experience with managing file permissions

Provide Root Cause analysis and recommend documentation for knowledgebase

Ability to provide customer-focused, clear communication

Configures, assembles and installs server infrastructure with minimal assistance

Upgrades, modifies, troubleshoots, and replaces hardware with minimal assistance

Performs system backup and recovery activities

Updates and maintains site documentation.

Keeps up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Server configuration/troubleshooting skills

Strong analytical skills

Ability to complete assigned tasks on time.

Ability to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Effective organizational skills and ability to successfully execute multiple project responsibilities.

Education

Any Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred BE – CSE, IT, ECE and EEE

The qualified candidate should obtain or be in the process of obtaining Microsoft Certification in any area or related proven experience.

Trained on Active Directory, VMWare, and Windows Server Operating Systems.

Experience

2-4 years of experience involving Server and virtualization support in a corporate environment.
