Scope of the position:
The Operations and Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring all systems are thoroughly tested to meet business specifications, established standards of quality, including functionality, reliability, usability, and performance, while ensuring orderly deployment of software solutions and timely post-go live support to the end users. Key responsibilities include leading a team of QA and automation engineers, continuous improvements of QA practice, change control and change management processes, application monitoring related processes, and compliance to agreed service level agreements.
Primary responsibilities/ accountabilities of the position:
Ensure adherence to overall software quality, while also ensuring optimal user experience through different disciplines of software quality assurance
Develop comprehensive test plans, deployment artifacts and application monitoring procedures
Oversee the global application portfolio support team to provide effective incident resolution management
Supervise and manage QA team across different functional areas
Collaborate closely with PM’s , technical, and cross functional teams globally to ensure delivery dates are met.
Ensuring compliance to IT governance standards by tracking Operations and QA Mgr KPIs and metrics
Oversee design and implementation of continuous integration platform which focuses on testing frameworks, technical artifact organization, and testing during the transition phase.
Monitor, communicate, and resolve data feed delivery issues from internal and external sources
Advance automation capabilities to ensure optimal end user performance and high availability of Production applications
Continually review opportunities to advance automation and minimize manual testing where feasible.
Participate in design, implementation and continuous improvement of change control and change management processes.
Collaborate closely with system administration teams to ensure infrastructure readiness for critical deployments, and continuous improvement of deployment architecture
Develop and manage KPIs for software quality and end user experience and ensure compliance to agreed SLAs at all times.
Ensure SQM practice becomes a significant value add in the overall SDLC
EDUCATION LEVEL: Anyone of the below shall do
BACHELOR’S DEGREE (4 YR) 0 MASTER’S DEGREE 0 DOCTORATE
Major: Computer Science / IT / Technology
EXPERIENCE: (The below are necessary)
Essential:
Sound understanding of application, security, integration and database architecture, and platforms
Experience in industry standard automation tools including open source and enterprise options.
Experience with design and implementation of test frameworks, test repositories and automation scripts
Ability to multitask and collaborate with technical and non-technical staff
Strong MS office tools and project management discipline
Desirable Technical Skills
Working knowledge of Java, C/C++, Tibco, Oracle/SQL, Mongo DB, Atlassian JIRA/Confluence
Knowledge of application performance testing, automated testing tools, and open source platforms
Automation tool certifications
FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
Experience in Software Quality Assurance, modern IT Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies concepts and hands-on QA engineer experience. Min – 7 yrs & Max – 10 yrs
