Manager, Business Technology Services
The IT business applications manager is responsible for managing the operational support, maintenance, and development activities of business applications across enterprise. The position combines managerial responsibilities with in-depth hands-on technical expertise. The manager is responsible for appropriate staffing, people management, performance management, and continuous service improvement. This position also involves defining and managing IT process, Change Management and Stakeholder management
Roles and Responsibilities:
● Responsible for managing the support of Business Technology services including applications development, support and stakeholder management
● Responsible for building, managing and delivering a portfolio of technology programs and projects that improve business process capabilities
● Define, plan, and direct the execution of a broad range of technical projects, while balancing the competing demands of scope, time, cost, quality, resources, and risk.
● Responsible for building a team of high performing and dedicated engineers.
● Develop and maintain a strong strategic relationship with the IT organization and the key stakeholders across the business to drive high customer satisfaction
● Act as the regional single point of contact for Business Technology ( Business Applications and Systems Engineering), to deliver technology solutions, services and ongoing support.
● Partner with Head of IT and Business Applications to develop a technology support and operating model, define and track key metrics across different business Apps, and resource plan
● Implement good IT processes and process management to improve outcomes and operational efficiency
Education:
● Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or related field
Job Qualifications:
● Minimum of 10 years of IT business applications management experience. At least 3 years of experience as a manager.
● Experience in IT Operations required, Project / Program Management is a plus, but not required.
● Experience working in distributed development environments is a must
● Ability to independently plan and execute projects.
● Must have Good experience on Atlassian products – JIRA and Confluence
● Experience with developing, managing, and supporting Salesforce is a must
● Hands on experience on Access Management and Identity Management tools.
● Experience with Google workspace is a nice to have
● Knowledge of Workday is desirable
● Experience with Google tech stack (GCP, Google Workspace, Google SSO, etc..) or equivalent is nice to have
● Working knowledge of Lean Agile management systems and ITIL certification is desired
● Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are required.
● Strong hands-on management capabilities, leadership, coaching, and people management skills
● Possess a strong business and customer/client focus.
