The requirement is for IT Configuration Process manager within Group IT, Process, Risk & Compliance Management unit. The unit has the responsibility to handle the IT Processes across Group IT.
The IT Configuration Process Manager will play an instrumental role in handling the configuration Process. Process description, alignment with tooling, process improvements, process simplification, process governance, collaboration with the operations teams and other teams will all be part of the role.
What you will do
The IT Configuration Process Manager should demonstrate knowledge and experience in the following areas:
Ability to understand IT sub processes with a flair for technical understanding and operational details Knowledge about IT Configuration Management Process, Configuration Items and how they related to each other in IT Service and Application models.
Knowledge in IT Configuration Management concepts like Configuration Management Plans, Meta Model, CI, attribute, relationship, federation, discovery scanning, consumer/provider.
Ability to conduct workshops and support identification of improvement ideas in collaboration with process managers/user community in a virtual environment
Ability to work with technical architect for solution design. Review, analyze and recommend solution designs for process changes
Involve in key projects/improvement projects as an IT consultant/SME for progress tracking and continuous feedback
Interact & convince senior management on investment decisions to be taken
Involve in IT process transformation program and lead process adoption for other business units
Understand new requirements and customize the processes for other units targeting better adoption across Ericsson
Anticipates risks; defines them; identifies possible causes; works with team to identify mitigations; selects and implements most appropriate mitigations
You will bring
10 years’ experience of leading enterprise IS/IT organizations in IT Process management
IT skills – Deep IT understanding is a mandatory prerequisite, Experience in Enterprise IT environments with a plethora of Services, Applications, and Processes.
IT Process skills – Clear understanding of ITIL principles & processes. Preferably experience from analyzing, working with, and improving IT Processes (ways of working); certification is preferred (e.g., ITIL Expert)
Communication skills – Must have experience in presenting data and gap/situational analysis into clear understandable messages in both oral and written modes.
Convincing Skills – Must have the ability to establish credibility/trust and ability to persuade senior management for taking the right decisions towards a successful program/project delivery
Analytical skills – Must have experience process/tools gap analysis and suggesting and implementing improvements based on standards such as ITIL or IT4IT
Tool’s skills – Must be proficient with MS Office suite especially Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge about BMC Discovery and BMC CMDB (former BMC Atrium CMDB) and BMC common Data Model is an advantage.
