We’re hiring a system engineer (system management) to be technically responsible for a specific system. The system can be as small as a function area, a node, and a solution in the 5GC and EPC (Evolved Packet Core) Network. The purpose of the system management is to identify technical requirement on the system based on the business needs and opportunity and come up with system solution to meet the technical requirement. Suitable candidate will initially work with one function in 5GC or one node in the EPC Network.
You will!
Drive the initial system study of the product development life cycle; defining engineering requirements and high-level solutions
Lead architecture and solution exploration in PCC Mobility SH, and secure the technical alignment globally to ensure overall product roadmap and business strategy
Guide POCs from technical perspective to dig out the best solution alternatives esp. in new technology areas like cloud native, networking, O&M, efficiency, security, FW, etc.
Drive technical discussions and decisions with strong leadership capability
Always be on top of the technical aspects of the project: provide full visibility, highlight issues, handle risks, and proactively look for solutions; clearly articulate options and tradeoffs and be able to make tough, pragmatic decisions.
Give on patent and standard contribution, and influence team giving on the thought leadership
To be successful in the role you must have
7+ years of validated experience
Validated experience in developing sophisticated distributed systems software, preferably at a technical leadership capacity
Validated ability to use innovative ways to seek highly complicated problems
Excellent knowledge and competence of 3GPP 5GC, cloud native, micro-service architecture, NFV, Networking and so on.
Skilled at requirements clarification, driving effective/efficient ways of working, and delivering sophisticated projects on time with high quality
Bachelors/Master degree in Computer Science, EE, or related technical degree
