Job Overview:
The IT Security Engineer will drive the IT Security track of world-class products for Gainsight, a leading Software as a Service innovator which takes Security seriously. This role will own the security posture of the entire IT environment including laptops, BYOD phones, corporate email, Firewalls and SaaS security products. This role is the foundation level for lead control design and lead the projects to improve the control environment in future. The role takes pride in driving IT Security by closely collaborating with the IT organization and others in the security field.

Qualifications:
What we are looking for:
2-4 years of hands-on experience in IT with minimum of 1-2 years in IT Security

Solid understanding of IT Security tools and processes.

Minimum 2 years of experience in patching and or email protection.

At least one industry certification: CEH, CompTia Security+, GSEC, CISSP,

Nice to have skills: Experience in metrics or Identity Access Management or governance

Responsibilities:
What you will do:
Drive Gainsight’s IT Security Operations, which is a cloud-based architecture

Implement, and monitor robust IT Security controls

Monitor IT Security program using metrics by setting up automation and dashboards.

Support the team in projects to improve the control environment. Example technologies include

Zero Trust Networking for laptops and desktops

BYOD

Cloud Firewalls

Cloud-based web filtering

VPNs / Cloud VPNs

Email Security / Advanced phishing protection

Endpoint security / EDR

Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)

Cloud-based adaptive multi-factor authentication

Report, and drive IT Security metrics to measure progress

Respond to IT Security incidents as necessary

Understand and keep in sync with evolving cloud configuration, application configuration, technology standards, and frameworks.

Perform Proof of Concepts for new technology proposals for security posture.

Lead the organization in setting standards, procedures, and processes around IT Security with the IT organization.

Be passionate about threat hunting across IT Security landscape

Drive security culture with IT and own the IT Security function.
