LOCATION: Remote position -India
YOUR ROLE
As an IT developer within the Data Governance Program Office, your responsibility is to ensure that our customer service representatives can deliver their service to our customers by ensuring that the data retained is both accurate and complete through our program capabilities. Additionally, your role is instrumental to ensuring that the data leveraged in our actuarial processes and other data scientific pursuits are the most appropriate based on their authoritative and quality measures. To enable great data that can drive the business requires the deployment of several open-source capabilities and features that enables our own scientific analysis on the underlying metadata. The Data Governance Program Office is looking to institute metadata analytics and searching features that facilitates the utilization of the right most accurate/complete data.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
To successfully perform in the role of IT Developer, this position has several specific responsibilities. These are:
Being able to design and build robust, well-documented automated solutions using open-source coding deployed on a Kubernetes cluster that conforms to our automated CI/CD pipeline.
To continue to learn and grow your skills and knowledge of python, metadata driven coding techniques, and the business of data governance.
Effectively collaborate within the team to contribute to the learning opportunities, gain knowledge from the team’s experience, and grow your ability to deliver.
Understands the importance of test scenarios and/or test plans for automated quality assurance testing, actively contributes these test cases, and participates in the review of the results.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
This IT position is highly focused on delivering Data Governance capabilities. To this end the basic qualifications are as follows:
Proficient developing in Python and at least one other language like Java or JavaScript along with related open-source development tools and techniques.
Have completed a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience/education in a related field.
Have 5-10 years of experience in a related developer role.
Competent in relational databases design.
Proficient working and developing with large amounts of data and analytical platforms.
Proficient working with structured and semi-structured data.
Proficient developing APIs and microservices.
Creative problem solver who is self-motivated.
Collaborative and able to communicate clearly to the broader team.
