• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of experience in a customer or partner facing technical role (e.g., Solutions Consultant, Product Manager, or similar).
• 5 years of experience in cloud computing, including one of the following: Public, Private Cloud, Compute, Storage, Networking, Software, Platform Infrastructure-as-a-Service.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working at, or closely with technology ISVs or SaaS companies.
• Knowledge of public Google Cloud solutions across SaaS, PaaS and IaaS, cloud and technology trends, and usage trends.
• Ability to form working relationships across technical and business functions in multiple companies, with experience in technology partnerships.
• Ability to effectively communicate the direction, architecture, and complex technical concepts to a broad range of audiences, including the C-Suite, (e.g., executive product officers, heads of engineering, and CTOs).
• Excellent technical and communication skills.

About The Job

As a Solutions Consultant, you will lead your team to help Google Cloud partners achieve their objectives through custom solutions and technical consultation. You will architect, design, and deliver technical solutions. You’ll be responsible for rapid and accurate resolution of technical challenges, lead implementations and integration of partner features. You will lead organization wide initiatives by incorporating cross-organization multi-system needs, balancing conflicting goals, and timelines. You will partner with leaders at the C-level to influence and achieve stakeholder goals internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Work and build relationships with internal engineering leads, product, and program management, and other product area teams (e.g., sysadmin, legal, support, compliance).
• Lead technical discussions to develop an understanding of partners’ current state, needs, and business objectives, guiding their strategy with your knowledge of industry trends, cloud technology, and Google.
• Work with partners by presenting a compelling direction of Google Cloud’s value proposition, technologies, capabilities, and differentiators.
• Coordinate and influence a diverse range of stakeholders across Google (e.g., Customer Engineering, Product Management, Professional Services, DevRel) to align around work streams that deliver for the partner’s.
• Advocate on behalf of partners to their customers and be a spokesperson and advocate of the Google Cloud Platform to the ecosystem through events and online.
