Key Responsibilities
Lead a technology team of 100+ members across multiple locations with direct
responsibilities for Business Analysis, Development and QA teams and indirect responsibilities for application support teams.
Lead, design and develop technology solutions to complex problems that require both in
depth knowledge of capital markets and strong technical expertise.
Collaborate with US technology managers for projects driven by them with a team
extension model.
Drive full project life cycle for other projects / applications including user interaction,
planning, development, testing and L3 support.
Proactively manage risk including deliverables, operational issues through implementation
of right controls and escalate where required.
Act as the primary point person to peer groups and customers for effective communication
on systems and projects within area of responsibility.
Design and develop applications, tools and processes to ensure better safety, reliability and
supportability.
Collaborate with production support and platform engineering teams effectively.
Provide leadership in building and maturing Investment Portfolio technology
competencies. Expected Leadership competencies and behaviors: Drive partnership with management team and development leads in the US. Demonstrate ability to conceptualize and execute a business case, gain sponsorship and stakeholder support. Collaborate with technology peers to lower operating costs through advantage / re-use. Act as coach and empower the managers, functional leads & technologists. Manage vendor/contractor partnerships to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Contribute to continuous improvement ideas and projects. Drive innovation within the teams, foster collaboration. Improve team member engagement within both the team and the extended team in India. Collaborate with the Technology Managers and Application/System Architects within and outside Line of Business in sharing best practices, knowledge sharing sessions, etc.

Essential Qualifications
Working knowledge of the several capital markets and investment banking business practices
and related applications and technologies including:
Expertise in fixed income derivatives such as rates, commodities and currencies
Post-trade processing of fixed income derivatives
Regulatory transaction reporting for jurisdictions across the globe
Portfolio reconciliation
Capital Markets and Investment Banking Operations technology
Good understanding in one or more of the regulations (MiFID I & II, CFTC, ESMA, EMIR,
HKMA, DF, CAD)
Knowledge of SEC, FINRA, Reg AB and other industry regulations to build technological
solutions.
Good understanding of object oriented development, design patterns and optimized search
algorithms.
Experience in Agile methodology and CI/CD tools such as Git, JIRA, Jenkins, Udeploy, and
automated testing.
Apart from Capital Markets specific knowledge and skills listed above, relevant technology
experience (e.g. Building large scale systems that support multiple time zones, Capacity planning and application sizing).
Deep understanding of cross asset classes, markets and portfolio optimization process.
Excellent first-hand experience building applications for at least one of the asset classes or
business functions (e.g. Fixed Income, Equities, Risk Management, etc.)
Experience with market data feed/tools such as Reuters, Bloomberg, Markit and Factset.
Excellent knowledge of at least one investment-banking product set (e.g. Credit, FX, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
Clear demonstration of ability to manage a 50+ technology team across multiple sites working
for multiple LoBs of an organization (preferably in financial services environment)
Must have 18+ years of experience, of which at least 5 years in senior management roles leading
large teams of teams and 10+ years in Capital Markets
Demonstrable success in creating effective technology teams in global business environments.
Experience in an in-house center would be desirable.
Must have good understanding of current and future trends and practices in Technology.
Must be able to demonstrate true results in influencing business outcomes and must be an
innovative leader.
A seasoned, relationship-driven leader who will have the style and sensitivity to work within a
highly complex business environment.
Lead organizational initiatives, foster diversity and inclusion, and champion change within
the group. Multi-cultural sensitivity a must.
