About the Role:
We are seeking an exceptional Information Technology leader to build and manage our team in Bengaluru, India. The Site Lead will be responsible for hiring, mentoring, and managing a team of IT professionals, as well as working collaboratively with cross-functional teams globally to deliver high-quality products, projects, continuous improvements and maintain existing solutions.
The Site Lead will be a critical member of the Illumina IT leadership team and work with leaders across various functions to build and execute the capability roadmaps aligned with the business priorities.
Responsibilities:
Build and manage a high-performing information technology team in Bengaluru, India.
Responsible for budgetary, people development and operations objectives of the team
Lead, motivate, and develop high performing teams within a time-sensitive and demanding environment to deliver on meeting the team’s KPIs.
Drive creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Change/Six Sigma initiatives to enable the Functional Areas to meet and exceed plan.
Partner with the leadership team to develop and execute company strategy.
Set and clarify requirements and expectations for managers. Measure performance, provide feedback, and hold managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments.
Additional responsibilities include coaching, and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations, and building leadership bench strength.
Excellent communications skills with an ability to convey strategic direction to all levels within the organization and senior leadership.
Work closely with support staff (HR Manager, Financial Manager, Facilities Manager, Product and Engineering Managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in his/her area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives.
Able to address operational and personnel issues affecting functional area. Surface issues with potential to affect multiple functional areas, along with ideas for solutions and share them with HR.

What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with at least 15 years of working experience
10+ years of experience building engineering and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment, preferably in India.
10+ years direct management experience, managing teams of 100+ reports including leadership roles.
Candidates must be flexible to work a variety of hours as business demands.
Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques
Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, and terminations.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality IT solutions in a timely manner.
Excellent leadership and management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with a contingent workforce
Project management experience
