IT Service Lead is a key support function role in the IT department of PT&D – Digital Solutions, and an employee responsible for supporting organization-wide systems, IT infrastructure, and information systems and services across the globe.
Key responsibilities for this role are as follows:
Lead large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services.
Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.
Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes.
Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs.
Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT.
Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems in collaboration with other department heads.
Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization in collaboration with other department heads.
Designing training programs and workshops for staff.
Conducting regular system audits.
Running and sharing regular operation system reports with senior staff.
Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages.
Track and Monitor IT Hardware Assets and Software Assets.
Managing and reporting on allocation of IT budget.
Manage IT Communication and Incident reporting.
Manage IT Security aspects like Endpoint security, OS/Software Patch Management and Network security etc.
Establish IT Process & Tools and streamline the IT operations.
Coordinate IT infrastructure setup in new DES office locations.
IT Disaster recovery (DR) Management
Providing direction for IT team members.
Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement.
Qualifications Required:
Minimum 12 years of industry experience. Experience working in Utilities, Energy and Power (T&D Domain) will be a plus. Leading IT infrastructure for global teams for OEMs or IT Services Environment, BE / BTech / ME / MTech in IT, CSE, IS ITIL 4 certification Cloud Infrastructure Certification (AWS and/or Azure). Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies
Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
Excellent oral and written skills in English.
Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize.
Ability to work in matrix reporting structure.
Flexible to manage multi-cultural work force.
Has prior experience working with CXO / Leadership Teams.
