Introduction
The founding of Metropolitan dates to as early as 1898 and Momentum traces its roots to being established in 1966. Momentum Metropolitan Holdings was formed from the merger of Metropolitan and Momentum, two sizeable and diverse insurance-based financial services companies in South Africa and was listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange on 1 December 2010.
In order to grow its international footprint and diversify its revenue streams, Momentum Metropolitan actively pursues financially viable opportunities across the world. Aditya Birla Health Insurance Company Limited, a joint venture with Aditya Birla Capital Limited, was incorporated in 2015 and was our first expansion into India.
Having experienced India first-hand as a hub of both talent and opportunity, we set up Momentum Metropolitan Services in 2017, a wholly-owned Mumbai-based global in-house centre to leverage IT, ITES and Business support services to all our businesses worldwide.
Role Purpose
We are looking for a motivated individual to apply good teamwork values, analytical and critical thinking to deliver concise business analysis, business requirements elicitation, stakeholder management, system process design
and optimization You will take ownership and make critical decisions on how to implement the most appropriate solution based on business knowledge and technical understanding of insurance processes and product calculations.

Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification (preferred)
Duties & Responsibilities
Analysing business requirements to propose the best possible system solutions.
Liaising with Actuaries to understand products and calculations.
Investigating calculation errors and Process failures on system.
Writing functional specifications on product processes or calculations.
Developing testing tools in Excel, VB, Python.
Testing product processes and calculations.
Liaising with programmers to resolve system issues.
Investigating data reports to identify potential data and system errors.
Managing own performance and development.
Ensuring effective and consistent service delivery and support to both internal and external clients in line with the Company Values and Treating Customers Fairly Principles.
Identify, investigate and analyse system problems faced and propose documented solutions that are clear, complete, consistent and unambiguous that resolve any apparent conflicts
Identify and analyse deficiencies, loopholes, etc. in system processes and propose a way forward to effectively deal with them.
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with peers and organisational role players to achieve effective collaboration.
Investigate and analyse alternative solutions and propose the best approach to meet a business needs.
Assist in the identification of risks and issues pertaining to the implementation of the solution requirements.
Provide business system analysis support for business projects, highlighting risks or areas of opportunity.
Notify relevant stakeholders timeously of planned changes and ensure that areas of user technical / system training are identified to ensure smooth roll-out

Competencies
Mandatory Skills:
Life Insurance domain experience is mandatory
Minimum of 7 years of experience in development, Systems analysis or Business analysis
Tools : Visio, MS Suite or any other relevant tools for a BA.
Preferred Skills:
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the Life Insurance Industry, or with Business Systems Analysis, Systems Analysis or Business Analysis experience.
