Ensure the continuous availability of IT services by assisting teams within their respective portfolio with the coordination, evaluation, and scheduling of medium to complex changes, across both Application and Infrastructure into a live Production environment. This is done by utilising ITIL aligned standardised change management processes and procedures ensured compliance with pre-defined change governance, as well as Change Advisory Board (CAB) regulations during the implementation. Senior Associate Analyst for Change Control takes responsibility for the complete change management lifecycle and assists with the management of this process to successful execution. Develops metrics and reports to provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities

Key Roles and Responsibilities
Apply Change Control Policy, Processes and Procedure
Evaluate, assess, and review each change request logged in their respective portfolio aligned the to Change Management processes, procedures, and governance requirements
Co-ordination and prioritisation of changes based on their interdependencies and priority, taking change, maintenance and release windows into consideration
Based on change type, assess the change to mitigate and highlight any possible impact on business, via engagement with the respective Application or Infrastructure Owners
Ensure the Change aligns to all Change Management requirements
Engage and facilitate any change conflict, with technical resources to ensure the necessary mitigation is in place before implementation of the respective change
Collaborate and engage to obtain sign off from all impacted stakeholders of a change before approval for implementation
Process all changes on the ServiceNow system in accordance with the approved Change management process and procedures
Ensure the documented Change governance is adhered to
Ensure that the required Risk Assessment is completed to align with the complexity and impact of the change
Ensure all change requests in their respective portfolio are tracked, manage and report on the fulfillment of change requests, ensuring that the required records are updated once a change has been successfully implemented
Ensure that the necessary business approval is attached to the change request for any organisational resources that might be required to implement a change
Align to the Change requirements, the Senior Associate Analyst: Change Control will be responsible to ensure the supporting Requests, Incidents, External references, and/or Requested items are linked to the change before assessing and approval is granted
Senior Associate Analyst: Change Control acts as an interface between the requester and the technical delivery team and ensure that change requests are handed over to the relevant technical team members for implementation
Senior Associate Analyst: Change Control will be required to complete a Weekly Deliverables Report, using the information on ServiceNow and communicate the report in a timeous manner to the Senior Change Manager
It will be the responsibility of the Senior Associate Analyst: Change Control to ensure that the necessary Route Cause Analysis document is completed for a failed change before the closing of the change.
Manage and report any non-conformance to the Change policy, processes, and procedures
Communication
The Senior Associate Analyst: Change Control will be responsible to compile and distribute any change communication related to their portfolio
Change Advisory Board
Participates in the Weekly Global I&T Change Advisory Board (CAB)
Highlight any possible input on changes that impact other systems and or Business areas
Act as the CAB Manager, on a rotating basis, and present all changes to the CAB audience, update changes in the CAB on the CAB Register and ensure that the CAB recording is uploaded centrally on Teams
The Senior Associate Analyst: Change Control should ensure that the change requester is invited and present at CAB to present their respective change for approval
The Senior Associate Analyst: Change Control will have the authority to approve low-risk changes, where CAB Approval is not required
The Senior Associate Analyst: Change Control will have the authority to reject any change not adhering to the Change Governance requirements
Auditing
The Senior Associate Analyst: Change Control should participate, internal or external, auditing activities of the Change Management function
In support of the overall Change Management function, implement any corrective actions and/or audit findings
Stakeholder Engagement
Engages with stakeholders in the respective portfolios
Responsible to ensure that engagement with key stakeholders take place.
Communicate the information relevant to the portfolio being managed
Maintains effective relationships with all stakeholders in the portfolio being managed
Assists in communicating and applying consistent application of the group’s service managements policy and process
Manage client relationships
They display excellent client service orientation, balancing delivery with defined expectations
Value Add
Provide value add reporting to teams within their respective portfolio
Make recommendation on the improvement of Change processes and procedure
Provide change assistance to teams, across portfolios
Assist and guide teams to align and adhere to the change governance requirements
Continually engage with their teams in their respective portfolios to obtain input in service offering improvement
Schedule and conduct training sessions for their respective teams aligned to the I&T Change process
General
Ensure that all change documentation is stored centrally in the designated repository
Attend all Groups Strategic Initiative presentations
