Responsibilities are as follows:
IT Infrastructure Project Management
Responsible for managing PCC division specific IT infrastructure projects related to Network, Server, Cloud, applications hosted centrally
Responsible to drive Corporate IT initiatives at multiple PCC sites with help of the local site support team
Responsible for tracking all IT Infrastructure projects for PCC and presenting it regularly to IT Steering committee
Responsible for coordinating with application team, local vendor, corporate IT teams and offshore teams
Participates in application projects to support new technologies and enhancements of IT Infrastructure for existing applications
IT Systems Management:
Coordinate with Corporate IT and local helpdesk team, HR to ensure new employee onboarding
Responsible for managing teams to resolve IT related issues (hardware, network, phones, tablets, communication devices, computers, conferencing equipment, etc.) for business continuity
Establishes and maintains relationship with hardware and application support teams at local and remote sites in India plants and other PCC offices
Ensures Helpdesk team logs tickets in Helpdesk system and presents to management monthly KPI Metrics
Prepares and presents MIS reports and performance KPIs for Helpdesk, Project performance, and other key KPIs for areas of responsibility
Ensures plant sites have adequate support and QMS and other site-specific needs
Network and Infrastructure Management
Partners with IT Infrastructure Head and PCC IT team to develop technology infrastructure strategy and manages changes over lifecycle
Works with teams to manage and resolve issues related to computer systems, locally hosted applications, and network
Executes on approved infrastructure strategies and provides IT support to site projects that require IT technology (i.e., building, plant, or warehouse capability expansion)
Performs coordination with Corporate IT for centrally hosted applications, central IT infrastructure, and other needs as required
Policies and Procedures
Develops disaster recovery and redundancy options and adhere to corporate policies
Works with Site teams to draft local SOPs for IT, implement and roll out SOPs
IT Asset Management and Procurement
Ensures all assets like computer hardware /communication devices are tracked and procured on time
Manages IT Infrastructure site IT budgets and present to business the Actual vs Budget for all sites
Manage vendor contracts, IT Infrastructure procurement, collaborate with Corporate Procurement
Conducts vendor evaluations. Establishes and manage vendor contracts for site support needs for computer, tele-communication, network and other services and devices
Ensures all licenses are procured, monitored, managed, and assigned
IT Security and compliance
Ensures proper Cyber Security and Data Security management measures are in place to support proper use of equipment and networks
Works with Infosec team to implement upgrades and perform other tasks to address security issues
Ensures computer systems are complaint for regulatory and license requirements Guide/mentor PCC India site IT for client/regulatory audits
Guide Site IT SPOCs for Document management – SOPs, GxP/ISO 27001, CSV, 21CFR, part 11 and GMP Guidelines
Leads system audits, security assessments and other Infrastructure review activities
Other Areas
Oversees IT Infra OPS for PCC India sites
Oversees and determines timeframes for system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages
Identifies and acts on opportunities to improve and update software and systems
Minimal travel required to sites
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:
BS degree in business, computer science or related field or equivalent technical training and experience
8-10 years of experience as an IT Manager supporting Network, Server, Hardware, end user systems & security solutions
Prior experience with networking protocols required – LANs, WANs, routing, switching
Experienced with Virtualization, RDBMS, and Backups
Experience with plant quality systems/ lab equipment, related documentation requirements
Prior experience in a GMP environment highly preferred (Manufacturing, Pharma, etc.) with Computer System Validation Experience
Basic knowledge of Quality/Manufacturing systems applications (Ex. Empower3/QCMS/Track wise/LIMS/PLC/DCS/SCADA/HMIs/OPTEL)
