As a Technical Support Engineer, you will assist customers worldwide in analyzing, tracking, and solving issues related to PTC’s WindChill and Creo product suites. In this role you will develop expert communication,
presentation, customer service and PTC product skills as a result of working with customers worldwide.
This position offers a candidate the opportunity to learn and use the world’s leading solid modeling package, Creo (formerly Pro/ENGINEER). Engineers are offered a diverse work environment and strong career path through a variety of support positions.
New engineers are trained on Creo’s main areas of modeling, detailing and systems & interface while also learning how this data is handled in PDMLink. The candidate will assume a combination of responsibilities working with our customers and the greater PTC Team to resolve software issues.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist customers with installing, configuring, using and optimizing of PTC’s Creo products
Participate as a part of a team and work with other internal groups such as Quality Assurance, Research & Development, Product Management, Technical Marketing and Sales
Share your knowledge with the worldwide PTC community
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Computer Science, or Information Systems
Experience using CAD product (i.e. Creo, Pro/ENGINEER, Solidworks, AutoCAD, etc.)-
Modeling
Assembly
Detailing
Experience working on any of the below modules is a Plus
Sheetmetal
Creo NC /Manufacturing
Toolkit
Harnessing / Schematics
Cabling
Piping
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to analyze details and synthesize the “big picture” from incomplete or ambiguous data
Ability to develop a coherent plan of action that meets everyone’s needs to resolve a given situation as quickly as possible
REQUIREMENTS – TECHNICAL
Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills
Familiarity with manufacturing processes a plus (milling, turning, sheetmetal, mold design, etc.)
General IT skills (Windows, Linux, Network, Hardware Know-How, Utilities, Scripting, etc.) a plus
Experience with PDM/PLM (e.g. PTC WindChill, Team Center, MatrixOne, etc.) or other enterprise systems is a plus
REQUIREMENTS – NON TECHNICAL
A strong capacity and desire to develop customer service and communication skills
The ability to manage multiple urgent issues in parallel
Ability to learn new technical knowledge on the fly
The ability to work with teammates to achieve a mission
Excellent English – Written and Verbal communication skills
Good composure even in stressful situations
Fluency in other languages a plus
Additionally, Candidate should be ready to work in Shifts (5:00 PM till 2:00 AM IST / 9:30 PM till 6:30 AM IST). Prior experience working in service industry, KPO’s, etc will be an advantage.
