General Summary

Job Overview

The Engineering Compute Technologies (ECT) group manages multiple QCT Design centers worldwide and enables engineers to leverage hardware and software resources globally. As an experienced member of the ECT group, you will be responsible for driving development and optimization efforts for EDA flows and the environments in which they execute. This includes close collaboration with existing CAD teams in troubleshooting inefficiencies as well as path-finding efforts to optimize the engineering workflows and deploying affiliated solutions. Being able to define technical requirements all through that stack as well as justify the solutions at all levels of the reporting structure is essential.

Job responsbilities include:
Working as individual contributor or team member and a SME to explore, define and pilot new solutions

Collaborating with EDA H/W design teams as well as domain technologist to define and deliver work load efficiently

Essential skillsets include:
10+ Years of relevant experience with a proven track knowledge of ASIC design flow RTL to GDSII

Working with EDA Tools in ASIC design work in a shared compute resource environment

Exposure to latest EDA technology trends and HPC environment

Competency with intermediate IT troubleshooting and performance monitoring

Experience in using and handling HPC enterprise compute architecture and EDA work flows

Automation, testing, and analysis via scripting skills (Python, Perl, shell, C/ C++)

Intermediate data analysis and interpretation skills

Proven development of solutions for improving parallel and distributed job processing in HPC environment

Solid communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation

Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment and desire to be involved in diverse and innovative projects

Apparent interpersonal skills with desire to mentor and motivate team members

Collaborating with internal business partners to ensure new system and applications operate according to user requirements

Desire to be involved in diverse and innovative projects

Managing manages individual project priorities, deadline and project deliverable. Anticipate complex issues and discuss with in inside and outside the project team to maintain the open communications

Further Skills of interest include:
Experience with public cloud vendors (AWS, Azure, GCP), particularly in HPC and automation

Competency with Splunk queries and data visualization

Min. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

11+ years of work experience in EDA workflow development/deployment/debug

Debug LSF, license, workflow related issues and provide resolution working with IT/CAD. Responsible for exploring and driving CAD-Infrastructure upgradation if any from IT, new feature testing and deployment.

Good knowledge of Linux/Unix system, FLEXLM, design database management, versioning system. Knowledge on EDA Tools and workflows and use models. Good understanding of IT infrastructure like storage, servers, firewall, Network connectivity .Good knowledge on scripting skills PERL, Shell, Splunk
