Job Description:
As the IT Configuration Management Senior Specialist you will assist the IT Change & Configuration Senior Manager in driving the design and delivery of configuration management, ensuring associated processes are implemented effectively across a large modern infrastructure, including 3rd party and client hosted services, to enable the successful delivery of stable, secure and reliable IT Services across the organisation.
Working alongside system specialists, service professionals and project managers you will take ownership of designing, developing and implementing innovative solutions around configuration governance and management – processes, procedure and policies – that will improve the IT operational effectiveness and services.
In this pivotal role, you will act as an agent of configuration and an ITIL subject matter expert for configuration governance, providing guidance, training and building relationships across IT services to drive the maturity of configuration governance for the organisation.
Essential
5+ years configuration management experience;
ITIL v3/v4 Certified;
Experience with ITIL based disciplines in particular configuration & change management;
Strong process background;
An ability to work within restrictive timeframes and be able to manage conflicting priorities;
Self-Motivated and is comfortable working unsupervised;
Fluent communications skills: written, verbal and interpersonal, within and across teams, up through executive channels and across vendors and third parties;
Organisational and time management skills;
Excellent organisational and time management skills;
Pride of Ownership – a desire to improve customer experience and service offerings and a resilience, with high focus on ‘getting stuff done’;
Works with purpose, authenticity, integrity and responsibility;
Proven track record of working in organisations with complex budgets, projects and multiple competing priorities.

Proven strong stakeholder management skills, effective at all levels, including strong executive presence;
Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical customers;
The initiative to anticipate problems and the confidence to proactively act to mitigate them;
Exposure to financial services, banking or investment management industries;
ITIL Change Management experience;
ServiceNow Administrator certification/experience;
Client engagement experience;
Disciplined thinker and capable of working across organisational boundaries in a very demanding, high-output environment;
Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment;
Self-motivated and energised by highly motivated and hard-working team environment while being accountable for results with minimal direction;
Proactively maintain technical and functional knowledge applicable to the ServiceNow platform;
