Job Summary:
The Principal Solution Architect, D&T, SAP APO requires in-depth knowledge and experience and is accountable for collaborating with the D&T team in various locations to define, deliver and support IT enabled business solutions for the Demand & Supply Network Planning Team . This role will also help determine business needs and design & deliver technical solutions for these areas. The role handles the delivery of SAP Demand Planning & Supply Network Planning including project delivery, system configuration and enhancement plus production support in alignment with West D&T and company policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Possesses deep understanding of the overall vision and business needs and utilizes this knowledge to collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Sourcing to define detailed business requirements for D&T enablement of business needs. This includes interpreting any issues and recommending SAP SCM solutions or best practices.
• Utilizes knowledge of best practices to define strategic direction, determine business needs and design & deliver technical SAP SCM solutions, doing so in partnership with Application and Infrastructure and rest of SAP teams.
• Provide technical delivery of functionality to meet defined business requirements.
• Essential core member of agile sprint team(s) to configure and develop optimal technical solutions / features.
• Able to lead team of 2-3 combining of Associates/ Solution Architects/ Sr.Solution Architects in SAP SCM APO domain.
• Provide technical delivery of functionality to meet defined business requirements as described in User Stories/Gaps/Features.
• Provide system support and maintenance in alignment with standards and process set within the ERP Services Delivery model, West policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley and FDA GMP.
• Uses breadth of expertise to solve complex problems. Provide system support and maintenance in alignment with standards and process set within the ERP Services Delivery model.
• Create and maintain system lifecycle documents in accordance with West policies and procedures, including creation and maintenance of UAT and PQ documents, SOPs, SOIs and Job Aids.
• Lead the APO team coordination, running daily team scrums, root cause analysis and knowledge transfers for the teams. Ensure KT and relevant documentation for the people on move in the team.
• As an individual and as the APO lead, to provide the necessary contribution into the new implementation in SAP SCM Genesis transformation , S4 HANA program and Global SAP Support teams.
• Work closely with business key users and the integration leads for SAP Implementation, Gaps and Incident Management.
• Provide guidance to the SAP SCM team on overall SAP design and architecture as well as subject matter expertise in SAP DP & SNP and related integration.
• Work within and participates in the Change Control process.
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager or by the organization.

Education and Experience:

• 8 -12 years of related work experience
• Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent experience.
• Preferred but not required: Agile & Scrum Certification, ITIL

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Deep expertise, understanding and knowledge of SAP – system functionality and technical understanding of SAP SCM – SNP , DP , PPDS and related areas (MM, PP)
• Must be up to date on latest SAP SCM / ERP release.
• HANA experience and knowledge preferred, ideally actively involved in implementation of SCM on HANA
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Team coordination on day to day tasks, assignments and activities
• Grooming and Training the team members on SAP Skills
• Ability to work in a virtual environment in a global organization and to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced & complex environment with a self-motivated work ethic; utilize sound judgment with an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
• Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description

Physical and Travel Requirements

• 15% travel, including global travel
• Occasional on-call work required
• Prefer 12 pm – 9pm India time. Willingness to work outside of these hours as needed.
