Better requires process discipline and simplification
In this role, you will be responsible to reconcile license entitlement information vs deployed instances in achieving compliance position and cost reduction. Data collection and upload of contracts and license entitlement information in SAM tool. Verify the data quality in the SAM tools/sources, identify ways to improve and automate processes driving efficiency, quality and scalability. Monitor and publish periodic (monthly/ quarterly) software license compliance status reports. Also, support the team on validation and fulfilment of software related requests (new requests, changes, upgrades, etc.). Contribute to internal knowledge expansion and continual process improvement.
You should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 8+ years of progressive experience in an IT Software Asset Management capacity and 2+ of ServiceNow SAM Pro tool experience. You must be familiar with IT technologies and possess a strong licensing knowledge of software publisher licensing models, software deployment and use rights for Oracle, Tibco, Red Hat, Citrix, VMWare. You should have strong knowledge and work experience with software asset life cycle management processes: planning, acquisition, deployment, monitoring, harvesting and retirement. Keep track of license and support expiry dates and work with IT Owners to facilitate timely renewals as required. Proficiency in internal/ external Audits, review and follow up fulfilment of the Audit findings. You should also be passionate about quality customer service and positive interactions with internal customers, proactively researching solutions and improvements. SaaS publishers’ integration experience with Software Asset Management tool would be an added advantage. ServiceNow CIS-Software Asset Management/ CSAM Certification or similar will be added advantage, would be a real plus.
