We work with a highly skilled team of geographically dispersed engineers responsible for providing a scalable compute platform that is fast, reliable and secure for hosted applications and services.
The primary goal of the team is to increase productivity and security while decreasing cost, downtime and repetitive tasks.
Become a trusted advisor to customers
As a Helpdesk Administrator, you will provide world-class support to Akamai employees. You will analyze and resolve complex technical issues, with focus on Linux, Mac and Windows operating systems. Working closely with Senior Administrators and Specialists on problem escalations and resolutions and liaise with internal customers.
As a Help Desk Administrator, you will be responsible for:
Providing world-class support to customers through ownership, resolution and appropriate escalation of issues and trouble tickets
Acting as a technical resource, providing support via remote channels. Developing tools and ideas to improve Helpdesk efficiency and productivity
Designing and drafting knowledge based articles, sharing and providing information to help create self-solutions for our customers
Taking ownership of your customers and tickets to deliver global support services to our user community
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
Have good experience of working as a customer advocate and approaching problems with a logical thought process
Be action-orientated and be able to identify areas for innovation and improvement
Demonstrate business level, written and spoken communication skills with fluency in spoken English
Show knowledge working with remote support solutions such as Bomgar or similar.
Have knowledge of ITIL and Service Management areas i.e. Incident and Problem Management, Change and Knowledge Management
