RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for overseeing activities related to telecom, network administration, server
administration & Data Center Operations, IT security areas, License compliances,
documentations and support of hardware, software to the Dalvkot and our Clients.
ROLES:
A. GENERAL:
∙Act as a first line contact for issues and escalations.
∙Work effectively with the clients, users.
∙Promote and maintain a team environment.
∙Participate in projects related responsibilities; may serve as a technical lead on
occasions.
∙Recognize problems, develop recommendations and solutions, and oversee correction
within assigned specialty.
∙Collaborate with the Administration Services functional lead to define processes,
operating procedures and metrics to develop a high-functioning organization.
∙Oversee the configuration and management of the IT infrastructure to support
requirements in areas such as data retention, security, and information risk
management.
∙Coordinate with the Administrative Services team to help develop the IT budget.
∙IT Infrastructure project planning, sizing, techno-commercials, and implementation
∙Tracking licenses, maintenance contracts of Hardware, Software, Domains, Websites, ISP
services, etc. and proposing for renewal on time.
B. TELECOMMUNICATIONS:
∙Oversee the coordination between Dalvkot IT team and Clients to understand and fulfill
the telecom needs.
∙Helps establish standards for voice and telecom devices (video conferencing, mobile,
wireless, PRI, etc)
C. NETWORK ADMINISTRATION:
∙Oversee the coordination with IT team regarding installations and configurations of Local
Area Networks (LANs) / Wide Area Networks (WANs) and related devices.
∙Plan, coordinate and manage the implementation of Network (Active and Passive) short-
and long-term strategy in areas such as capacity planning, upgrade paths and service
levels.
∙Documentation on Network design and architecture.
∙Knowledge of Firewall configuration – Routing, Load balancing , VPN, fallback, UTM.
∙Act as a liaison between vendors, technical support to resolve complex system and
network problems. Coordinate and implement corrective measures.
∙Monitoring and reporting of network utilization on daily, weekly or as required time to
time.
D. SERVER ADMINISTRATION:
∙Oversee installation, configuration, upgrades, administration, monitoring, and
maintenance of Windows, Linux server and client OS.
∙Oversee the user (AD) account management, development, and deployment of server
and client system patches.
∙Identify and thoroughly research various server/storage architecture and application
suited for the business operations and develop the business case justification if needed.
∙Ensure that the server uptime is meeting the metrics.
∙Co-ordinate with Facilities team and vendors for maintenance of supporting systems.
∙Perform Scheduled (Daily, Weekly) Backups for business critical servers, applications and
DB and ensuring on Backups completion.
∙Cloud and On-Prem hosted servers health Check (availability, event log review, etc.)
F. SECURITY:
∙Identify security risks and coordinate their remediation.
∙Provide security insight and guidance to other functional groups within the organization
to reduce unnecessary risk.
∙Research emerging security technologies for their application in the organization
computing environment.
∙Promote and increase security awareness and training to both Internal and External
users.
∙Provide independent assessments of network security on an as needed basis.
G. Vendor Management
∙Coordination with vendors for service, support and renewals, etc.
∙Coordinate with the ISPs to deliver the services as per SLA defined in contract.
∙Management of any other vendor/ partner provided services as per SLA.
IT Support Engineer Requirements:
∙Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field
required.
∙5-6 years’ experience in system engineering and IT support required
∙Proven track record of success in installation and maintenance of Windows and Linux-
based OS and software.
∙Exceptional networking skills and knowledge
